A shot rang out.
Finn fell to the ground, blood spilling from his chest.
Millie let out a cry
She felt as if her whole world was collapsing
She sat down beside him, gently pulling him into her arms
"F-Finn, you're gonna be ok," she said, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. "Just h-hold on"
She tried to stop the bleeding with her hand by pressing down on the wound
Finn let out a pained groan, her action had done more harm than good
"I-It's gonna be ok... I promise.."
Finn looked up at Millie, he looked so weak, so tired, like he could fall asleep at any second
"I'm dying, Millie..." Finn said quietly
Millie let out a sob "no you're not" She knew he was, she couldn't stop it from happening
His breathing was ragged, his shirt was soaked in blood, his eyelids drooping.
Millie pulled him gently closer to her, wrapping her small arms around him
She kissed his forehead before beginning to sing quietly
"You are my sunshine... My only sunshine..." Tears spilling down her face as she sings
"You make me happy when skies are gray..." Her voice broke, and she kissed his cheek, knowing it could be the last time she does so
"You'll never know, dear, how much I love you..."
She felt him take one last shallow breath
"So please don't take my sunshine away..."
He breathed out, she waited for him to take another breath, but he didn't. His heart had stopped, he was gone
"You are my sunshine... My only sunshine..." she completely broke down sobbing, clutching him to her
"you make me happy when skies are grey..."
She looked down at him, he looked peaceful
"So please don't take my sunshine away..."
