In the kingdom of Quena, Sir John was head of the royal guard. His job was to imprison any if not all of the thieves and criminals.
His top guard is Alexander Smith. He has been working for Sir John for many years. Alexander works only for the money and rewards. He can not afford much food so this is the only money he has.
Elizabeth White has been and orphan for as long as she can remember. She lives in the abandoned side of the kingdom. She has to steal food every day to not starve. This makes her a target for Sir John.
They say Elizabeth and Sir John have a past, but he despises her. So there is no telling whether they have bumped paths before.
Alexander is purely good in the heart so he could easily switch sides without hesitation.
