Keith x reader - Prisoner part 2

You sat in your room, rubbing your shoulder. Ever since your little run-in with Lotor, your shoulder would ache at night. Never during the day did it cause you to flinch or pain or send a wave of unease into your body. It was just at night when no one was looking.

You tossed around that night, drenched in sweat. Your breath started to grow louder and shorter. The pain tonight was really bad. You thought that period pains were bad, this was a whole new level of pain. You finally had enough and sat up but the second you moved up your whole arm erupted with a wave of excruciating pain.

You screamed, falling onto the floor as your body started to spasm uncontrollably. The entire you lay on the floor, unable to control your own movement, one word kept repeating across your mind, Irukandji.

The next few hours were spent in a haze. You were in and out. Sleeping in a beautiful abyss then waking up to hear your voice repeating the same word that was playing in your head. Irukandji.

"I found it," Pidge said. "Irukandji is a jellyfish from the northern area of Australia. It's a tiny jellyfish that has stingers on its head instead of the tentacles and really dangerous."

"The heck is Lotor doing with jellyfish?" Lance asked.

"And why Earth?" Keith asked. "It doesn't make sense, the liquid was red and she didn't show any signs of pain before this. It's been a week since we rescued her."

"Well, that's what she's been repeating like a parrot since we found her," Pidge said.

"What if it's a cure?" Shiro asked.

"Irukandji?" Pidge asked. "I don't see how a venom is able to save (y/n)."

"Okay, never mind," Shiro said.

Keith sighed, landing his face into the palm of his hand. "We just walked right back into a trap," Keith said.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! We are NOT, repeat, NOT, going to contact Lotor," Lance exclaimed.

"You don't need to." Lotor appeared in the ship's screen with a confident look on his face.

"LOTOR YOU FREAKING PALE DIVA!" Lance screamed. Pidge stifled her laughter while Keith glared at him

"So, I see that (y/n) is in a little trouble, want me to help?" Lotor asked. Lance looked like he was about released steam like a train. His face was boiling as red as a tomato.

"What do you want Lotor?" Keith asked.

"I just want (y/n) to get better, that's all," Lotor smiled.

"Yeah right," Lance scoffed.

"Oh no, it's the truth. In fact, I'll send you the coordinates to the cure. It's right here," Lotor grinned. Allura looked at the coordinates, opening it on the Galaxy. Allura glared at Lotor as she saw the pinpointed location. "I wish you all the best with your teammate Paladins, I do hope you retrieve that vial of medicine."

The room went silent. "Where is the vial?" Keith asked.

"In a black hole," Pidge answered.

"No swearing," Shiro said. Keith let out a frustrated groan and looked at the map. 

"Can we make it?" Keith asked.

"Keith... this is a black hole," Pidge said. She looked at him with a tired expression.

"I know what a black hole is Pidge! I went the Garrison as well!" Keith growled.

"Then why aren't you thinking?!" Pidge screamed. "We can just walk into a black hole and come out. Even if we get in, the vial is in the centre of gravity there. We won't be able to get it out."

"I'm going in," Keith said.

"WHAT?!" Everyone exclaimed.

"I have an idea," Keith said.

"Oh do tell Mr Maniac," Lance scoffed.

"The Black Lion is able to teleport, Shiro unlocked that ability when he went missing. What if we could teleport in and get out?" Keith asked.

"Keith, you don't know if that's possible, you've never used that before," Shiro warned.

"It doesn't matter, I'm going and no one is going to stop me," Keith replied.

Pidge and Lance groaned while Shiro and Hunk shared worried expressions.

"He never listens," Pidge sighed.

"That's why he was booted from the garrison," Lance added.

"YOU DID WHAT?!" You screamed. You whacked Keith in the head while your arm was still bandaged.

"Ow! Is that the thanks I'm going to get?" Keith asked. You sighed, resting your arm on your bed.

"I'm sorry. But... I can't believe you flew headfirst into a black hole, that's worse than flying head first into the ground with Red just because Lance called you a wus," you said. Keith chuckled and sat next to you.

"I'm sorry if I gave you a heart attack but you were in pain and I didn't want to see you suffer anymore," Keith whispered. You rested your head against his shoulder. Keith hugged you close and kissed your temple.

"You know that I love you, right?" Keith asked. You smiled, snuggling closer to Keith.

"Yeah, I do. But it still scares me when you risk your life like that. We need you, Keith, I need you," you answered. Keith pulled back to kiss you fervently on the lips.

"I'll stay no matter what, just believe in me," Keith whispered.
