it came to samiel like a flash
he remembered two words today
it was "car" and "taxi"
but to sit here? he didn't have all day

so he stood up from where he sat
and joined the others waiting
as he stood there he noticed
the two were happily dating

how did sam notice? you ask
a matter of simple inference
it was easy for him to notice
as the two were holding hands.

then they kissed and he remembered
it was a show of love and affection
"love" was what popped into his mind
making the other feel protection

sam merely smiled
as the couple put smiles on their face
but one man walked by them
and flaunted a show of obvious hate

"may god forgive your sins."
he said, voice with hatred
"god hates people like you."
"you two ought to be dead."

sam knew nothing prior to this
"discrimination" popped into his head
the man walked away
half the couple's eyes stained red

sam knew of the negative impacts
of discrimination as a whole
but he thought it was wrong to hate
he thought that man was a fool.

the couple hailed a taxi
and sped off into the distance
samiel looked at the crying one
he was broken but bore resistance

the sun was high in the midday sky
he stood still for a second after
he pondered the situation proper
he saw people roaring in laughter

soon sam hailed a taxi
and off he sped on his quest
he was going to get some sleep
he really needed rest.
