Chapter 10

Aaron's POV

Getting out of bed I tried my best not to wake Ari seeing as she didn't fall asleep until 2 this morning, I wonder what kept her up?, shrugging I made my way into the bathroom before going downstairs to make us something to eat.

Looking up at the clock I realize that it's 9 and we'll be leaving for the beach at 11 so I decided to wake Ari and let her eat before getting ready, walking up the stairs I made it into our room but didn't see Ari in bed meaning she's probably in the bathroom.

While waiting I went into the closet to grab a pair of beach shorts so when I heard the bathroom door open I walked out causing Ari to gasp in fright.

"Oh my God I did not hear you come in here" she had her hand over her heart.

"I'm sorry for scaring you Ari plus there isn't even any need for you to be because I mean we are the only two that live here"

"Yeah you're right we are" she gave me a nervous laugh.

"What's wrong??"

"Nothing Aaron", not really convinced but I decided to drop it because it was already 9:30.

"Well I made breakfast and after we need to get ready because God knows I do not want to get on Dante's bad side today" that caused Ari to laugh.

"Me and you both, any time I and Anna plan on going somewhere and if she comes and I'm not ready it's 'Miss. Sour Mood' for the first 2 hours" she laughed again, I was happy that we didn't make what happened last night bring us awkwardness.

                2 Hours Later

"I'm happy to see that you are on time" Dante commented as I got in the front seat and Ari in the back with Anna.

"Dude, that was like twice, and I apologized"

"Bit me once shame on you, bit me twice shame on me" he used an old proverb on me causing us all to burst with laughter.

"Wow Grandpa Dante, I haven't heard that in so long," Ari said through giggles, her giggles were like music to my ears.

"Might be a Grandpa but I still got the moves" with that he looked through the rearview mirror and winked at Anna causing her to blush and us to laugh.

The rest of the car ride was spent with us making jokes and before we knew it we made it to the beach, the girls got out first grabbing their things before going to the bathroom at the beach's office leaving us to carry everything else.

"Wow ladies thank you so much for your help, you didn't have to help us at all" Dante yelled sarcastically at them making them laugh.

"You both are big strong men, us women would only be getting in the way!" Ari yelled back before walking off again.

Sighing me and Dante carried everything else to the beach, soon after the girls came back in nothing but their bikinis, and can I tell you that Ari looked absolutely stunning.

"I know that you're his girl and her best friend but I have to say, Damn girl!! You look good!!" Dante wolf-whistled.

"Thanks" Ari laughed.

"But on to my baby girl, she fine as hell!! I think I'll have to be a bodyguard today" Dante commented once again, Ari nodded her head in agreement.

Pulling her to me I whispered in her ear,
"I would sure love to have a repeat of last night with you right now"

"Maybe when we get home" she blushed then winked before walking off towards the water, I stood there watching her until I was interrupted by something hitting my leg looking down I realized it was only a beach ball.

"Yes know she's sexy but snap out of it," Anna said while laughing.

"She is mine after all" I shrugged.

"And she has you whipped after all" Dante commented while Anna did a whip motion.

"Guys whatever, I'm going into the water so let's go" and with that, I walked off with Anna and Dante following behind me.

The rest of the day was spent with us swimming, eating, and playing different beach games, and before we knew it, the sun was already setting, we stayed until the sun disappeared before packing up the car and heading home.

                   At Home

"Well it was nice spending time with you guys, I really had fun," Ari said smiling.

"We had fun with you guys too, we should do this some other time, probably even head over to Aaron island??" Dante looked at me.

"Sure thing" I agreed to cause all three of them to yell in excitement.

"Tomorrow is Saturday right??" Dante asked.

"Yes meaning that the banquet is tomorrow" causing me to groan.

"Every 2 years I would throw a banquet evening, everyone, from my company and some others from different companies including the CEO's".

"Banquet?? So when were you planning on telling me?? Or weren't you going to bring me??" Ari asked.

"Of course I was going to tell you but with yesterday and today's events it completely slipped my mind"

"Oh really?? Are you sure you didn't have someone else in mind?" Ari smirked

"Someone else like who??"

"You know your secretary, the one you were texting yesterday" she joked.

"So we're just going to go," Anna said before pulling Dante by his hand and walked through the door.

Turning to Ari I smirked,

"Sooooo?? About what you said today??"

"What did I say today Aaron??"

"You know what I'm talking about Ari"

"No I don't" and with that, she ran up the stairs laughing.

Pulling out my phone I went to Amazon to order a dress and shoes for Ari before dialing my secretary and tell her to have them delivered to me in the morning.

And with that, I headed up the stairs deciding to get some sleep because tomorrow is sure going to be a long day.
