Karla's pov:
I'm sitting alone in a small cubic room, with only a table and a metal bed, both bolted to the ground.
I was writing my story in the book I had let to Camilla once... the book of the Blackblood bloodline....
no one would know why I did this.... the reason.... only family will have the book at hand.... and from family only the closest.
I was in a containment room if you wish and haven't guessed.... the people voted that I was a criminal of war and needed to pay for my actions....
I knew this was to happen.... but it's a different feeling between knowing and it coming true....
in this book I wrote down my reasons, fears, thoughts and actions.... so they would know I did this for the greater good.
I've been here for at least a month....
I sighed shakily.... now that the time was near.... I was afraid.... I was so so so scared.... I felt like a little kid again, having lost my ways in the woods and cried for a long time.... I was crying again...
I was such an idiot to think this was going to be easy.... that I was prepared.... that I wouldn't feel this way.... I was a fool.
the door opened and two guards stepped in with a bearded man.
"alpha it's time to go" he said in a deep voice and I nodded, not trusting my voice as I stood up and held the book to my chest.
I followed him out and into the light.
everyone gathered to see this.... we were walking down a line people left free, the man before me and the guards behind.
everyone was silent as their eyes drilled in to me.... I was such a fool to think I wouldn't break under their gaze.
we walked through the forest and up to the fated clearing.
there was an elevated stage built in the middle, all from wood.... so everyone would see clearly.
"please.... can I have a word with my family?" I asked, tears threatening to spill over.
"of course" he said.... everyone knew family was important.... even for a villain like myself.
we arrived up to the stage, tears started to fall when I saw people I held close in my heart.
I hugged everyone tightly.
"granny" I faced her "you also lead a war in your time as alpha.... I want to give you this book.... you have a heavy secret to carry just like I do.... the answers are in this.... book.... please keep it safe.... show no one other than family.... no one can know the real reason why I did this.... no one can know.... promise my please" I needed to stop a lot while talking, throat tight and simply unable to force the words out.
she took the book and hugged me again.
"you are no villain Karla.... you are a hero just like any of us.... don't forget that.... I have an idea.... why don't you come by the house after this for a drink?"
"I'd love too" I agreed even if both of us knew I would never get off the stage alive.... it felt good to think this was nothing and I would really meet up with her for a nice and calm drink.
"Karla please you need to tell them!" mom said hugging me tight in her shaking arms. "Camilla told me why you did this! you need to tell them! please I can't lose you!"
