The boy in the flannel, always too much to handle.
Eyes vibrant in color, I knew I'd never love another. Green like the Forrest those eyes shined bright, and the messy brown hair that helped me sleep at night.
A smile that was gleaming, almost as if I was dreaming. A heart so strong so bold, but with a tint of frost so cold.
A trustworthy guy, who hid it all with a lie. He brightened my world, my heart danced...it twirled.
He's the reason you smile, when with him the tears stopped for a while. How could you not believe him? He's the boy in the flannel. He moved on so quickly, as simple as changing the channel. He was my fool's gold, but sooner or later I was used I was trolled.
He made me laugh he made me smile, yet here I am crying on the bathroom tile. He treated me right, told me he couldn't wait to hold me at night.
But I'm over it now, I'm done subjecting myself to something so cruel so foul. But that doesn't mean I won't remember, that beautiful boy in the flannel striped sweater
