"Why hadn't I thought of this before?" She wondered. She had just purchased a plant, a small succulent, one eager to join a few other plants she had back at home. She had never intended to start collecting them, only realising now that she easily could through the use of propagation and her mother's credit card.
When she arrived back to her room with the succulent clutched between both of her dirty hands, she placed it carefully on her window sill, shuffling the other plants to make space for her newest addition to her "family". She now had a plan.
A few days later the south side of her room was dominated by house plants, succulents, in-season flowers, plants hanging from the curtain hooks, cacti, and a single onion, residing on her often-complimented shelf. She stood in front of her "forrest", hands on hips, and the proudest grin stretching from ear to ear. The bear traps were all set and the harpoons were in place. She had finally completed her project; a vegan trap.
