That Night (Montgomery De La Cruz)

I was fixing my makeup real quick before I left the house for the party. My phone was obnoxiously ringing. I ran over too it and picked it up. I slide my finger over the answer button. As I read the name. 'Zach💙'

"I'm almost at your house" he said

"Okay I'm coming" I said

He hung up the phone and I rushed down the stairs. My parents were away on a business trip and my siblings were at our grandmas for the summer besides my twin brother he was at his friends house hanging out. My phone started ringing obnoxiously again. I looked down to see who it was. 'Grandma' it read I picked up and put it to my ear.

"Hi grandma" I said into the phone

"Hello I know you have plans but I wanted to tell you that your mom and dad will be another week" she said

"Oh okay" I said a little upset because I haven't seen them in so long. I mostly cared about seeing my dad because I missed the long conversation we would randomly have.

"Sorry" my grandma said

"No grams it's not your fault" I said

"Okay well you can get back to doing what you were doing just wanted to tell you this very quick" my grandma said

"Okay bye love you" I said to her

"love you too hunny call me soon" she said

"I will" I said hanging up

I wasn't gonna let this bother me. I just wish they would put their kids before everything else.

I was standing outside waiting for my bestfriend Zach, when he pulled up in his car. The windows were rolled down.

"I made Monty sit in the back so you could sit in the front" Zach said

"Okay" I laughed

I opened the car door and sat inside.

"Hey" I smiled at Zach and Monty

"Hey" Zach and Monty said at the same time

"You good?" Monty asked

"My mom and dad aren't coming back for another week" I said upset

"Why" Zach said

"Yeah why" Montgomery said

"I have no idea, they care more about work then their 4 kids"

We arrived at the party. Soon as I stepped out of the car the music was already loud and there was barely anyone here yet.

I walked into Bryce's house. The door was wide open.

"Hey Kayla"  Bryce said randomly hugging me. I cringed at his touch.

"That's Montgomery's girl watch out" Zach said walking in behind me

I looked at Montgomery his face was red and my face felt hot as well.

"Zach can you stop" I said

"What I'm not lying" Zach said

"Oh shit let's see what y'all doing after the party" Bryce said

"Y'all dirty as fuck" Monty said grabbing my hand

More and more people started coming in through the doors. Zach, Monty and I moved out the way of the doors. Zach walked away to talk to other people and it was just me and Monty. We walked to the backyard.
