The rain hit the window harshly. I listened to the rain as I played with the hem of my boyfriends shirt. He was sleeping, he looked so peaceful. I loud sound of thunder boomed causing me to jump. Lightening followed causing me to jump again.

"Are you okay?" Monty's raspy voice spoke

"Yeah I'm fine the lightening just scared me go back to bed" I said

"Are you sure?" He asked

"Yes babe I'm fine" I said

It took him a few minutes to fall back asleep. Then I was awake all alone again. I heard the door creak so I looked at it. I seen a small figure standing in the door way. The light in the hallways was on so now I could see who it was.

"Monty, Kayla are you awake?" Samantha called

"I am" I whispered loud enough for her to hear me

"Can you help me?" She asked

"Yeah sure what's up" I said getting out of bed

"I need a glass of water but I can't reach the cups and it's so dark downstairs" she said

"Alright come on" I smiled

She reached up for me to pick her up. I lifted her up and held her on my side. I tip toed down the stairs not wanting to wake anyone else up. I quietly walked into the kitchen. I flipped the light switch and put Samantha down on the counter. I put some water in a plastic cup so it didn't break.

"Tank you" she smiled before taking a sip of the water

"No problem" I smiled back

"You ready to go back to bed?" I asked

She shook her head yes. I picked her up again. I walked towards her room. I pushed the bedroom door opened with my foot. She got into her bed.

"Thank you goodnight" she smiled

"Goodnight" I replied leaving the room.

I walked back to Montys room and laid on the bed and pulled the covers over my body. I looked over at Monty and he was still sleeping. I got a little closer to him trying not to wake him up. He rolled over in his sleep and cuddled up next to me. His body instantly making me warmer. I loved it. I closed my eyes and finally fell asleep
