Tae and I were sitting at my desk together but he hadn't said a work since he met me at my door. I wanted him to initiate the conversation but he just looked at me as if challenging me. I leaned back in my chair and let out a deep sigh.
"Tae, it's been almost 10 minutes and you haven't said anything....what did you want to ask me?"
The look he had in his eyes was different than anything I had seen before. It was...sadness? He let out a deep breath and looked down to the desk shifting nervously.
"Tae...would it be easier if Taehyung asked me?"
"No." He responded coldly.
"Tae look at me."
He raised his head and I was shocked to see tears pooling in his eyes. Is this really Tae? He sniffled a bit and wiped his eyes before he looked back to me.
"Can he be cured?"
His voice was shaky...and he trembled a little holding back what I believe to be sobs. He looked desperate...as if whatever my answer was had the power to break him. I looked to his hands that were shaking sitting on top of my desk. I reached out and held both of his hands with mine and was sure to look him straight in his eyes.
"I sure hope so Tae."
He nodded and took another deep breath. "I know that I don't deserve it but...can...can you please hug me? I promise no roaming hands...no funny business...it's just been so long since I've had physical contact with another person, it's incredibly lonely."
As skeptical as I was by his request I stood up and walked over to him. He stood as well and I didn't hesitate to wrap my arms tightly around him. He embraced me in the warmth of his arms and held on to me with a grip that almost took my breath away. He shuddered a bit, and let out a few deep breaths as if trying to keep himself from crying. I rubbed his back to sooth him best I could, and after what felt like an eternity he loosened his grip and pulled away from me.
"I just w-want him to be normal again. I don't want him to be scared anymore."
I rubbed his arm and smiled.
"We'll get there Tae...I promise."
After he was able to gain his composure we walked out of my office and I locked the door. He walked me to my bedroom door and before I unlocked it he spoke.
"Thank you..."
"You're welcome Tae."
He walked away from me heading to his bedroom. I unlocked my door stepping inside closing it behind me. I can't believe that was Tae and not Taehyung. There has to be a bit of them both within each other...I bet the real Taehyung is a big of both of those personalities. I showered and applied my favorite body oil before getting into bed. The sheets were so comfortable I made a mental note to thank Jimin again. I drifted off into sleep but it wasn't long before I heard a door open a shut softly. I didn't think much of it until I felt something crawl on top of me immediately waking me from my dream like state. My hands were pinned to the sides of my head and someone's legs were on either side of my hips holding me down.
"Babygirl...I think it's time we had a more serious conversation."
"Tae! What are you doing?"
He grip on my wrists tightened as he leaned closer to my face. "I think its about time you stop teasing me Doc." He whispered.
My heart was beating fast and I felt a little uncomfortable with his weight on me. But I still knew that the man that cried in my office wasn't going to hurt me.
