Love was a complicated emotion. Especially for Harleigh and Felicia, they didn't know who really loved them. If anyone at all loved them. Harleigh has been in love with Braden, a boy with every-changing emotions, a warm smile and beautiful eyes. Harleigh ruined herself trying to love him. He loved her in all the ways she couldn't love herself. He treated her like a gas station where he could come and receive love but he could go as he pleased. This broke her in ways she could never begin to imagine.
Felicia was in love with Dixon, the bad boy. He was perfect for her and loved her a lot, but the love she had for him wasn't enough. Dixon went and cheated on her and left her broken. He never told her why because she couldn't stand to talk, look at him, or even give him a chance to explain. She didn't want to hear it. All she knew was that someone better would come along, eventually.
