Life With VS

I was just a young child when I found out about this. Around the age of 5, I was with my grandparents. Everytime I opened or closed my eyes. I saw static. It may sound crazy, but I had seen television static. I brought it up, but got told it was just my mind making me think things.
Years pass, I still see said static. But never told anyone in fear of being called names.

I started watching this YouTuber by the name of Ohmwrecker / MaskedGamer. In videos and whatnot, I found out he also has this. To this day, it's one of the reasons I still watch him actually.

It turns out that this "static", is actually called "Visual Snow", or "VS" for short. Barely anyone has it apparently. Which is why my eye doctor didn't know what it was either.

Once I found out how rare this was, I did lots of research on it. I couldn't find much on it. Which is a bummer, especially since there's no cure for it.

My life with VS has been a bit difficult. It makes doing tasks that require a lot of focus..a lot harder than normal.
Writing/reading can be hard because of this. Since the static affects all of my eyesight, occasionally what I write is "blocked" by the static.

I also have Oculomotor Dysfunction :') it's where you skip words/lines when reading. That also makes reading with VS hard.

This also goes for video games. I don't see what everyone else sees. I get yelled at for my reaction time, or missing something. Having VS is a real pain in the arse.

I have nothing more to say.
Thank you for reading my story,
