I decided to meet up with Cooper after school today. It wasn't anything special in my eyes, but for some reason he seemed way too elated for something so normal. He should be used to hanging out with his friends, right? No wonder he's not a virgin. He loves all kinds of people and he's the kind of person to hook up with any other slut.
"Hey! Heads up, my mom is really ignorant and kind of airy. My brother is a little weird but we still get along great. Don't mention his multiple personality disorder around him, though... He gets really angry at comments regarding that." Cooper explained with a jovial melody. I only nodded as I listened to him with all ears narrowed down to his bouncy voice.
He turned around and jogged to his car, which was a jet black 2003 Mustang with a white stripe running down both the hood and roof. It looked sharp as hell, but considering the person driving it, I won't be surprised to see scrapes and dents on it within the next week. He craned his head to yell back at me, "Come on, I'll drive you there!"
Good thing I didn't bring my bike today.

Maybe he's forgotten that I've already been to his house before. I haven't met his mom, but I have met Percy when I woke up in his bed that one day. As he pulled up into his grey driveway, car tires meeting a few bumps here and there, I recognized the light shade of blue that colored the outside walls of his house. The roof was a nice and rich brown, the shingle designs almost looking like wooden bricks.
As he walked me to the chocolate front door, he grinned as if he were a child who got a brand new toy for Christmas. "I know it's not your first time being here, but I still feel like you're not very familiar with the place. I'll have to have you over more just so you can get used to it." he threw me a wink before fishing out a silver house key from his pocket. He inserted the small item and twisted his wrist until there was click. He pushed the heavy door open with a creak to reveal the inside of his home.
"Hey mom, Percy! I'm home!" he called, soon turning around and waving a hand to signal that he wanted me to come in. I hesitantly stepped inside, instantly feeling a squishy surface below my feet. Oh, right. They have soft carpet flooring over here, which is relaxing and nice. He closed the door behind me and leant down to untie his sneakers. I guess I should do that too..? Last time they didn't care if I wore shoes or not around the house..
"Make yourself at home. I know it's not a mansion or luxury hotel but it keeps us alive." Cooper lazily carped about the house, but honestly I think it's really well built. Never inclining to tell him that, I settled with letting out a soft chuckle in response. He stepped forward and began to climb the flight of wooden stairs before us. There was a hallway to the right that connected to the living room, and to the left stood a staircase that Cooper's feet were currently dragging up.
Like a lost puppy, I tailed after Cooper. When he turned his head to see where I was, he laughed when he saw me travelling behind him. "I'm guessing you wanna come with me?" he chuckled, finally reaching the end of the staircase. He waited for me to reach him until he strolled to a certain door in the second hallway. I knew it was his bedroom, hence the colorful stickers splattered over the door.
"I'm gonna change my clothes if you want to come in." he teased with a soft smirk lifting his pink lips. What? I didn't know he was going to do that. If I did, I wouldn't have followed him.
"Ah, I-I'm sorry. I didn't know you were going to... Oh-!" Backing away hesitantly, I gasped and stumbled on my footing. I forgot a whole staircase was behind me... I closed my eyes and expected the worst but in the blink of an eye, I felt a pair of warm arms wrap around my waist and pull me forward.
A chest was pressed up against mine. The hallway was flooded over with silence as I finally opened my eyes. I casted my gaze up to Cooper, meeting the concerned eyes that looked down to me. "U-Um, are you okay?" he inquired, gripping on the small of my back tighter.
I nodded reluctantly and he let me go. Then, a soft whistle came from the left of us. As if synchronized, we both turned to the noise in unison. There stood a middle aged woman with her curly red hair tied up in a bun. Her bright crystal blue eyes resembled Cooper's very well. She wore a dark purple long-sleeved shirt with black sweatpants. Her feet were covered with cute little bunny slippers.
"You two are pretty close, aren't'cha?" she giggled, a heavy southern accent lathering her voice. The woman, who I suppose is Cooper's mother, approached us with swaying hips and a spacey look in her eyes. "who's this handsome young fella?" she inquired, now aiming her gaze at Cooper.
"This is Stormie, remember? The boy I took home after the meetup with my ex-friend Kaleb.." Cooper suddenly winced at what he said, noticing how unnatural it sounded. "wait, no.. That came out wrong. I brought him home because he blacked out from a panic attack. I told you before.." She simply tilted her head to the side and hummed in understanding.
"Yeah yeah I recall Coop. It's nice to meet you, Stormie. You're a lot more lively when awake," she sang with a vacant smile. "Please call me Perry. I'm really happy to finally meet my son's boyfriend~" Her statement caused Cooper to pull away from me with a deep flush.
"Mom!" Cooper let out a flustered squawk and pulled softly at his curly red hair. At that, I couldn't hold back a small titter. I could already tell I'll get along with this woman.
