Foolish

And one day ,
The foolish sun fell
for the ugly moon.

How much did they tell him
That he was meant for the stars
But powerful was he
and so was his love.

He fell for her simplicity,
Her flaws,
Her loyalty to the earth,

He brought her out from the darkness
And flaunted every part of her-
Proudly with his light.

Sometimes he did love her as a whole;
Sometimes half, when they argued;
Sometimes quarterly, when they had a fight.
At times in gold, at times a little dull.
But never did he stop loving her.
