"Seriously Ahmed!" I give him an angry look as we walk in the mall. He looks at us and raised his hands.
"I said sorry. I forget about it." He repeats it again making Sila sigh and rubbed her forehead.
"Ahmed only one day is left and you forget to pick wedding gift for her. How could you even forget about it?" Sila asked him as we step on the accelerator. Ahmed sighs and take a deep breath.
"I was busy with some stuff." He mumble and look away when I look at him with a frown. When we reach up, we step on the floor and walk toward the jewellery shop.
"What kind of stuff?" I asked him, but he just shrugged and walk in the shop. I know it is something serious because Ahmed never forget about things. It must be important than.
Ahmed sits on the stool by glass counter and nodded at the man. He went somewhere and Ahmed nodded at us to sit with him. I sit next to him and Sila was about to sit but her phone ring and she went out to attend the call.
"Your order, sir." The man returned with a small bag and give it to Ahmed. He smiled and take out his gift.
"What you think about it?" Ahmed asked as he opens the long velvet box. I smiled when I saw a gold heart shape pendant with his and Samariah initial letter engraved on it. Ahmed turned it and I saw the date which caused my smile to fade away.
"This date?" It was the date of that day when everything get change in my life.
"I know what are you thinking, but this is the day when I saw her for the first time." He says and smile softly looking at the locket. I forced out a smile as well and saw as Ahmed give his card to swipe.
"So, what stuff you were dealing that you forget to pick up your wedding gift?" I asked him as we walk of the shop and he looks around for Sila. When we saw her, she holds her finger up for us to wait.
"Nothing important." He says and avoid my eyes. I sigh and stand in front of him with my arms crossed.
"Don't lie to me Ahmed. I know you very well. Tell me what happened?" I demanded. He sighs and looks at Sila before looking up at me.
"They want to meet me." I frowned when he says they. Ahmed looks at my confused look and raised his eyebrow. I feel my eyes widen when I get who he was talking about.
"B-but they left this city." I told him what Uzair told me. He nodded and tell me that somehow they know about Ahmed marrying Samairah and wants to meet him or else they would do what they did with Mehwish.
"What they want now?" I asked him and look at Sila to see her still busy on the phone.
