Her Mind

She's forced to hide,
Her fears gathering in her mind
She falls deeper inside.

Unrivaled uncertainty
Enemy of crystal clarity
She falls again
She plays a game of pretend

She smiles before she cries
And cries before she yells
Then falls, falls, falls,
Like broken, shattered glass
Her mind is her enemy
Her mind, the nature of her death, be
She dreams of the Rabbit Hole
If only to not feel so alone

Mad as she may be,
Anything, she would give
To just be at peace.
At peace, finally.
