Chapter 10

Im tired....

Mahiru's POV

I wake up with the sun beaming through my curtains, i groan looking at my alarm clock

[5:56pm]

...huh
....Huh
.....HUUH?!
"KURO!!" I yell practically jumping out of bed, i run downstairs like kuro when i get home from the shopping centre

I reach the loungeroom but still no sight of kuro... my mind starts to race, Heart beating like crazy

"Kuro?" I say once more before crashing to my knees, out of the corner of my eye i spot a note

I run over to the note and start reading it

{ dear mahiru you slept in today and we ran out of biscuits, i didnt want to wake you as you looked dead tired, i have gone to coles i should be back before 3pm, if not.... well shit i guess im in trouble

...i read the note over and over trying to process the information, with no hesitation i grab my coat and run out the door note in hand

I run and run down numerous dimmly lit streets, the last of the warm sun disappearing behind houses as the moon makes its shine with the shimmering stars of the night sky

A noise in my pocket snaps me out of my trance i take it out and answer it so fast "kuro?!" I yell as my hope beams "no...is something wrong?" Tetsu asks my hope falls to the ground so quickly "k-kuro is missing" i struggle to say

"...where are you?" He asks voice lacing with concern "i dont know i just kept running and running i think im near licht's house" i say looking around my surrounings

"...thats...40 minutes away from your house...." tetsu says shocked "i.. dont know what to do tetsu... i need to find him... " i say my voice cracking as tears well up in my eyes

"Its going to be okay mahiru just go to lichts house and tell him everything" tetsu says, i thank him and hang up running to lichts house

After a few minutes of running and a burning chest i reach a massive white house with silver guard gates i press the intercom "licht.." i start but get cut of by a ding and the large gates opening

I run up to the large great white doors, before i could knock it opened

"What happened?!" Licht says pulling me inside, I sit down on the rich Pure white Lounge, my heart still beating rapidly

I put my head in my hands, letting more soft tears flow softly down my cheeks, I feel a comforting but awkward hand pay my back

"Um.. there... there....I am terrible at conforting people" he says "when you're ready please say what is the matter" he continues

"Thankyou" I say before taking a deep sharp breath "well.. I woke up from a sleep.. and I find kuro nowhere to be seen... I searched everywhere before....before I see a note" I say my voice cracking

"Is... is that it?" He asks hesitantly, I nod, slowly but Quickly he opens the note, and reads it, soon after he finishes the note he's face laces with more concern

"I couldn't care less about that demon
... but You truly care for him if he doesn't return that would be painful for you and I hate seeing my friends in pain" he says determinedly

"Thankyou so much!!" I say tears continue rolling and have no signs of stopping

"Of course no excuse me for a minute" he says politely and walks up to the top of the grand white Granite stairs with a red carpet on the steps
