Those weren't the words Raegan was expecting to come out of Diego's mouth. So of course she was thrown off when she heard them.
"Before you saying anything ma just listen because I don't have much time. I don't want to do this. I don't want you to leave me but it's not my decision to make, it's yours. I ain't gon' lie I was pissed and hurt that you did it over text" Diego began to say
Raegan tried to open her mouth to say something but Diego put a finger to her lips to stop her. He didn't have much time and he didn't need to hear anything she said. He just wanted to make sure she knew what he had to say and how he felt.
"I love you Raegan. I love you so fucking much. There's ain't nothing or no one that's ever going to make me stop loving you. If it's space you need baby girl that's what I'm gon' give you. This past year has been a fucking wreck. I've come to realize that if we continue what we've got goin on we're just gon' get even more toxic for each other" Diego couldn't help the tears the began forming in his eyes
Before Raegan could even process what Diego was saying there was a knock on the door and a voice saying it was time to go.
A broken sob escaped Raegan's lips. No. This can't happen. Diego felt his heart breaking at the sight of Raegan crying.
"This isn't goodbye baby, I promise" Diego said before pressing a kiss to her forehead
And just like that Diego was gone... Again..
