REBEKAH WINSTON threw her head back euphorically as he left a trail of kisses from her lips down her neck, lingering by her collarbone.

Her pleasure was however short-lived when she heard someone knock on her white Range Rover's window.

She opened her eyes to see Julien Reed's light eyes staring at her. What the hell did he want now?

Julien shot a look to the stranger next to her and he pushed Rebekah off him and back onto the driver seat.

"I'll see you around," The stranger said before getting out of the car and into his, driving away.

Rebekah rolled her eyes as she lowered the window of her car, annoyed he scared off the only thing that had made her smile during the last week.

"So you hookup in your driveway now, Becks?" He said nonchalantly.

She knew her parents weren't home, they never were. She didn't really care if she brought the stranger inside her house but it was fun finding new places to hookup.

Rebekah rolled her eyes, again, at his comment and got out of her car. Her high heels click-clacked on her stone driveway as Julian followed her. She fumbled with her keys until she found the right one, unlocking the door. She then pushed the door open and tilted her head inside, inviting him in.

He silently followed her up the Winston Mansion's wooden staircase to her room where she flung herself onto her bed.

"What's up, Reed?" She said cooly, he had, after all, interrupted her.

He closed the door behind them and rolled his eyes, "Seriously, Becks? I know you love your Monday fucks but how can you act like this? Our best friend died a week ago."

She sat up straight, narrowing her eyes at the hickey on his neck. "Since when do you care? That cute bite on your neck doesn't seem to mind?"

Julien sat next to her, "As soon as things started happening, I stopped them. It's only been a fucking week, Becks."

Rebekah's face paled as she let out a little laugh.

"You think I don't know my best friend is gone? The girl I've known since I was born? Do you think I don't know that she's been ripped out of my life? That I will never be able to see her or talk to her again? Do you think I don't fucking know that? I'm sorry for being so selfish that I wanted to take my mind off of Scarlett for just a second, which I haven't ever since I found out!" Rebekah screamed at him standing up as tears started to rush down her face.

She had felt the tears gathering in her eyes but for the first time, she didn't hold them back. She dropped to the floor kicking off her high heels as she started crying.

Julien quickly joined her on the floor and cradled her head in his arms.

"Shhhhh, it's okay. It's going to be okay." He told her, softly stroking her beautiful blonde hair as she cried in his arms.

Rebekah didn't expect to break down in front of him, and neither did he. The only other people that had seen her cry was Scarlett.

"It's going to be okay," He murmured softly in her ear as the tears kept falling down her face, "Everything is going to be okay."

His words soothed her and she calmed down, still hyperventilating and crying softly.

She couldn't help but feel guilty. Had she played a part in Scarlett's mysterious death? Were the events that led up to Scarlett's death her fault? All those questions flooded Rebekah's head as she cried.

It had been a week but she had still felt guilty.

She remembered everything that happened that day. Waking up, how the day went by, and what had happened that night. How the next morning, she woke up to have her parents tell her that her best friend was dead.

It had been a week that Stonewall's Police Department had found Scarlett Hill's body in the woods that surrounded the small town of Stonewalls, Virginia, and not a single thing had been uttered from them since announcing her death. They had already done the autopsy but they hadn't announced the cause of her death according to the only people she had talked to the past week, her parents.

Rebekah could only feel guilty. Lies, guilt, and sadness were the only emotions she was capable of feeling for the last week. She waited each day for the police to say how she died, but nobody had heard anything.

Rebekah couldn't stop thinking. She couldn't stop thinking if she was the last person to see Scarlett... if she was the reason she was dead. Was she?
