"oh what I would give to sleep in your arms tonight"
~

Sapphire pulled into the parking lot of the large majestic building. There were cars filing in but he was already here, she could sense it. She slowly pulled into a spot that was right next to his car.

Sapphire had never seen the man, but she would be able to tell him apart from the others, just like she could tell his stuff from the others.

She took off her helmet and hopped off her bike. She looked down when she felt all the judgmental stares on her. Maybe she should have changed. She was still in her outfit from before: black skinny jeans, Doc Martens, a light pink tank top, and a leather jacket. Her dark hair was straight and went down to the small of her back and her crystal blue eyes were lined with a small cat eye.

Sapphire ran a hand through her hair and walked into the building, holding her helmet in her other hand. A wave of nausea hit her as she entered the holy place and stumbled back, holding her head.

She shook her head and sat down in the back, her eyes scanning the pews for him.

And then she found him, Andrew. He had blonde hair that was neatly placed, a handsome clean-shaven face, and an overall very well groomed appearance. Guardian angels were typically friends with their assigned person. It helped with keeping them close, but just looking at him, she knew that he would never be friends with someone like her.

Even her job on earth wasn't that amazing, a bartender.

She looked over at the woman who was holding onto his right arm. Even from her place, she could see the diamond ring around her finger. Lucifer would have told her if he was married, so he must be engaged.

She was pretty. Honey brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. Her appearance was comely and sweet. They made a picture-perfect couple. Sapphire then looked at him again and his eyes suddenly met her's.

Sapphire sucked in a breath when she saw his grey eyes look towards her and she felt nervous? She licked her lips and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. The priest walked down the aisle, the Sunday choir singing on the top of their lungs.

It all gave Sapphire a headache.

She followed through with all the kneeling and standing, but she refused to sing. And of course was the gospel was about the fall of the angels. She hadn't been one of them, she was one of Lucifer's creations but she still felt attacked as she heard it.

Soon it was over and afterward, Sapphire put her head in her hands trying to ease her migraine. She slowly looked up and saw Andrew and his fiance get up and start walking towards the exit. She quickly got up and followed them, grabbing her helmet and keys.

Sapphire walked into the lobby and saw them talking to another couple, friends probably. They were laughing a smiling and wave of homesickness fled through her. She actually missed hell and her other angel sisters.

Sighing, she walked out of the church and to her motorcycle. Sapphire sat on, her legs on either side and pulled out her phone, waiting for Andrew to make his exit.

He walked out, holding his fiance's hand, only letting go to take the keys out to white Benz.

Sapphire made eye contact with both of them as they got into the car, giving them small smiles and they gave her the same, Andrew's eyes lingering maybe a little longer than they should have.

She smirked to herself and put on her helmet before driving off to her apartment. It was only 12: 45 so she had a lot of time to make friends with him. First things first, she needed to change. The hot Florida weather does not like leather.

Sapphire got her apartment complex and parked in her spot. She took off her helmet and his car caught her eye. Did she live in the same complex as him? That's even better, she snickered to herself.

Andrew got out and fiance followed him. Sapphire quickly made her move and soon they were inside on the elevator together.

The silence was too awkward so she broke it.

"Hi, I just moved here. I actually think I just saw you guys at mass at um... St. Steven's, right?" she said timidly, a polite smile on her face.

He spoke first.

"Oh yeah, I heard someone new was moving in next to us. I'm Andrew by the way and this is my fiance, Jenna," he smiled.

"Hi," Jenna held out her hand, smiling and Sapphire shook it.

The door opened and all three walked out. Next to them? Right next to them. Okay, that was a little  too much, Lucifer.

They walked to their separate apartments and before Saph could enter her's she heard Jenna call out her name.

"Sapphire, wait! Why don't you have lunch with us and some friends? What kind of neighbors would we be if we didn't welcome you?" her smile was genuine as was his. His really beautiful smile and he had dimples or lord.

Sapphire snapped out of her daydream and shook the butterflies in her stomach away.

"Yeah, I'd love to. I could use some friends," she breathed out, nodding her head.

"Is one okay? I know it's soon," Andrew offered.

"Yeah, that's fine. Let me just change real quick. Florida does not like leather," she said, shaking her head.

Andrew let out a small chuckle, "See you soon. It's a restaurant called 'Harry's'. You can't miss it,"

"Thank you," she finally walked into her apartment and shut the door, locking it.
