Drew's POV

Well, this was new. Doing a specialized contest against two people who had never done a contest before. I mean, a double contest, meaning that two people with two Pokemon against two people with two Pokemon, one for each person. Did I mention that these two had never done a contest before? Being from Kalos, they did have the Pokemon Showcase things that were a bit similar, but really? Both me and my girlfriend May had been doing contests for forever. The blonde one insisted that she would be fine with her Braixen and the brunette said that her Ivysaur would be good for it as well.

I am going to be using my Roserade, and May is going to be using her Blaziken, since that means that the types on each side are the same, causing for a more even match. I also want to use the same types as those two to show their place after being beaten by Pokemon of the same typing as their own. May is not nearly as hardcore about winning as I am, so she doesn't share the same ruthlessness as me, which is to be expected, I guess.

The brunette, I think her name was Shaunna, became impatient and wanted to start this right away. The blonde, I think her name was Serena, agreed with her immediately.

So here we are.

I sent out my Roserade and May sent out her Blaziken, as the others already sent out their Pokemon. Roserade used toxic in the air, and Blaziken sent a flame burst at the spores, causing for fireworks to rain down on the opponents. Ivysaur tried to blow them away with leaf storm, but most of them still fell. Braixen used flame burst as well, and spun the fires around on it's stick, dancing gracefully with the Ivysaur's vines in the leading part to the dance. I'll admit it was cute, but what will they do for moves?

Suddenly, the flames on the stick grew, and Ivysaur blew the flame up and caused it to swirl up in an endless loop around Roserade and Blaziken, trapping us. We had to get out of this, quickly. Blaziken used blaze kick and broke a hole in the loop, but upon escaping, Roserade got a bit burned. I think that the craziest thing about this whole show was that Norman, a gym leader, with absolutely no knowledge of contests what-so-ever was reffing the match. And, with seeing that Roserade was burned, he called the match off, and claimed Serena and Shaunna to be the winners.

Interesting was about the nicest way I could describe the events of that "contest" but I'd much rather use other words. Stupid, uncalled for, amateur, one-sided, ridiculous, I could go on. May was sitting next to me, the opponents were already gone, and I was sulking. What a world this is. What a world.

A/N: Thanks for the request~! I am working on the other requests too, but note that I will be on vacation from June 24th - July 5th, so during that time, updates will come more slowly.
