Celestial Beauty: Varian

Accompanied only by the twinkling stars,
And yet I feel a grand fondness,
A love of all that is beyond the troposphere,
Beyond the stratosphere and mesosphere and thermosphere,
All beyond my ever extended grasp,
I look, and Cassiopeia stars back, eyes twinkling brightly,
The serpent, Hydra, is never far behind, and its serpentine features astound and amaze me,
The feathered Aquila squawks later on,
And I stare and I stare,
Watching as the play unfolds,
That curtains of clouds are pulled back,
The sun has set until the next day,
And I watch eagerly with enthused vigor.
