My Undertale AUs

UnderSuit

An AU where instead of battling, everybody likes to play card games! And I mean everybody.

Every character is specialized in their own unique way. For example, a character has a favorite suit/favorite suit(s), preferred three types of card games, lucky number, and their own individual trump card.

The favorite suit(s) mean that the character accumulated cards with that suit easilier. They have a higher rate of getting a card with that suit and flushed occur extremely often to those with only one or two suits. Three or more suits and it's Harder. If a character has all suits then they have the best chance at getting higher ranking cards for better hands, yet the suit will be completely random.

The preferred three types of card games speak for itself. In Undertale, monsters like to play the following card games: Poker, Go fish, Crazy Eights, BlackJack 21, Slap Jack, and Bullshit. Yes, that is a game. Look it up. But there are also four variations of poker monsters like to play. If a monster prefers poker, they will state the rules they prefer. Only major bosses will use wilds. On the topic of wilds, only the character can use them. You have no wilds. The types of poker are: seven card stud, seven card draw, five card stud, and five card draw. Stud means you use the cards you are initially dealt. Draw means you can extange cards. For poker, the same kind of hands work in higherarchy as in real life.

 The lucky number is simple. The character Gets the card with that number more often than they should. This really helps in games like go fish and crazy eights. For example, two of Papyrus's are in fact go fish and crazy eights and his lucky number is in fact eight. Papyrus has it made! Unless you decide to play BlackJack 21...

The trump card Is basically when they have this card, they can activate a special to get a hand thst would automatically win the round or help them drastically. For two examples: let's say you're playing poker with Toriel, five card draw, and she pulls the queen of hearts. She will put down that hand and she will garunteed have a straight flush or a royal flush with her next hand. The reason we say that is if you have the ace or king in your hand. Or of you're playing Slapjack with Undyne and She puts down her jack of clubs- wait bad example. Idea you're playing slapjack with MONSTER KID and he puts down his trump card, jack of clubs, it will become a jack instantly and he I'll slap first because he knew that it was his trump card. There we go.

So those are the special attributes of each character. Allow me to explain on the world itself. In the surface before the war, King Asgore was white the gambler and known for his luck. But when they were locked underground after the war, he really missed playing card games on the surface. So the people of the underground thought if they played  card games more, the king would be happy. 

The same story with the seven human souls is in play, but every card game is like a gamble. You are gambling your soul with every game you play in the underground. It's they take your soil or you get your freedom and a nice victory out of it. Also at the beginning of the game you get to pick all of Frisk's attributes that I listed above so BONUS!!!

How genocide works in this world is that Frisk's trump card isn't able to be chosen. It's a joker with Chara in it. Whenever Frisk puts this in play, the Joker in the card will take away all the opponent's luck, currency (poker chips), and their will to play. That makes them introverted and with low self esteem. They either sulk around, kill themselves, or demand playing against other people, only to be doomed to lose every game. It's very sad, really.

Enough about that! Let's talk about how each character's statistics are! Oh, and their looks change to accommodate their strong suit(s), but only the suit(s). Not the number or trump card. Just the suit. I'm not giving TOO much away.
