I woke up and raised my arms to stretch; somehow doing that always makes me yawn. I got out and rummaged through my drawers; I dug out my baggy oversized American baseball shirt and a pair of ripped jeans with some blue converse. Oh and how can I forget my beanie? I made my way down the stairs and sat at the table next to my parents where the cereal box, milk, bowls and cutlery were set out neatly. I sat down on the pale flowery cushion attached to the chair and grabbed the box of Frosties followed by pouring the milk. Within the first five spoonful's' I ate my phone lit up, I quickly picked up the phone and opened the text message.

 Tasha,

Are you in drama today? I just didn't want to be on my own so I'm asking in advance so I could fix up something.

 Zac xxx

I scanned through the text message until I jumped out of my skin.

"Natasha! You know no phones at the table, it's rude. Table manners please, I raised you up better than this." My mum shrieked tutting away like she always does when someone's in the wrong.

"But mum..." I started.

"No but mum me. Put that phone away or you won't have one at all." She said pointing her finger directly at my phone gesturing to put it down now. I slammed down my phone onto the table and carried on eating my cereal. Once I finished I got up from the chair and grabbed my phone.

 Zac,

I'm in drama, though I'm not very good at reading the Shakespeare text before you start asking for help I'm not an expert. Sorry for the late reply got in trouble for using my phone at the table. See you later.

 Tasha xx

I placed my phone in the back of my of my ripped jeans pocket and grabbed my skateboard which was leaning against the musky red painted walls.

"Bye mum. Bye dad. Remember I'm going to the skate park straight after school." I said as I opened the blurred glass door.

"Okay Natasha. Stay safe." Mum replied poking her head round the kitchen door. Soon I was on the concrete I placed my skateboard onto the floor and hopped on it trying to speed up and go as fast as I can. All I could hear around me was the tree's which sounded like they were whistling because of the wind. The variety of birds chirping making one big beautiful song. Then I think I heard another skateboard behind me.

"Josh! Hi! Why didn't you shout me?" I queried. He gave a chuckle. Josh is one of the best guy friends ever, the best one you could ever have, maybe Zac will live up to his expectation...I think so.

"I did shout, but you seemed to be blocking me out." He chuckled again.

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to block you out. I must have been daydreaming." I smiled as we skateboarded down the road.

Once the conversation started with Josh we weren't able to stop, there was so much to talk about between the two of us.

"Guess you're not going to Zac McKenzie's party. You don't like them do you?" Josh questioned. Josh does know me well and yes he is right I don't really like parties, I normally feel uncomfortable where loads of people are crowded together and you can hardly breathe.

"No, I'm going. I feel I need to try it." I answered. His head turned quickly to me, Josh seemed shocked that I'm going to this sort of thing, he's thrown many of parties and I haven't gone, now saying that it seems a bit rude that I'm going to go to someone else's party but not his.
