The Haunted Asylum
As I drove through the wretched gates of the so called "Haunted Asylum" to record my events and to solve the mystery of the "Asylum Massacre", I noticed that the building was even bigger than seeing it on pictures or recordings. I exited the car and noticed the shattered windows and broken bricks on the outside of the mysterious asylum. It looked as if it were broken from the inside. I started to enter . It was extremely dark but I could see the faint lights at the end of the hallway. I grabbed my camera and put night vision mode on to see better. I walked slowly, deeper into the depths of the abandoned building.
I started to hear water droplets from the broken ceiling as I walked further over the obstacles in my way. I heard thunderous footsteps and loud screams. The footsteps got louder as I turned around to see a horrific face of different proportions-it looked like a deformed or experimented on patient. It pushed me as it said "You were going to be a beautiful bride." I fell down a dark hole and landed on something soft, it continued, "Too bad you're like the rest." A white light surrounded my eyes as it vaguely started to appear again I couldn't control myself I said to him, "I thought I was the groom!" the light appeared again and I was back at the dark asylum. I looked up as it started to walk away.
I turned around as something that felt like a liquid covered my hands, as something soft mixed up with it. I started to panic as I realized that it was blood and teared up flesh and muscle. I briskly stood up and rubbed it off to the side wall I ran to. The walls pealed my skin as I rubbed it harder but I didn't realize until after. I saw a ladder leading up to the ground floor, I felt its raggedy wood as I started to climb. I felt a bump on my left foot, I increased in speed as the steps of the ladder broke off below me. I jumped to the concrete floor as it fell behind me. I sighed in relief and climbed on to my feet. I walked towards the exit as my vision became clearer and realized it was blocked off. I grunted and I thought 'I have to find another way' but something kept telling me that everything is very familiar.
The foul taste of fear and thick air filled my lungs. I was running round the asylum just hoping for a way out but nothing. I was lost. I saw a blinding light as stagnant water droplets dripped down a hole in the ceiling. I opened my mouth and the water slid down my throat.
I turned my head once I heard the blood curdling screams; I ran and hid behind what looked like garbage with piles of cans and dirty clothes. I got out of the stinking pile and ran as fast I as I could with what little strength I had left, back in the direction I came from. As dryness filled my mouth I halted, and the disgusting taste of bile climbed up my throat and out my mouth, I saw the corpses of men and women below the hole in front of me. I heard clanking as if someone or something was trying to scare me. I leaped over the hole just trying to make it and the vile tastes stayed in my mouth. I missed... just by an inch... I missed and fell into the dark depths of the pitch black hole. A metallic taste filled my mouth as I looked at my leg and saw a bone piercing through the skin. I screamed in agony as I wrapped it around in a ripped cloth from my shirt. Blood splattered walls surrounded me as I limped through the dim tunnel.
After passing through the dark tunnel I saw a ray of light burst through the top of the mossy and broken door across the hall way. Was that my way out of this accursed place? The exit sign just barely hanging off the top of the door. Walls and pillars tumbled down as I saw a strange man-like figure looking at me from a distance. I ran towards the door as it chased after me, ignoring the pain I felt in my leg, but the door looked as if it was moving further away. I smelt the gruesome smell of carcases. I felt a shock of fear as I saw him gaining on me. I smashed through the door as the blasting light of the setting sun shone on my face. My eyes closed as I sighed in relief, but once I opened them a white light blinded me as a crazy looking doctor said "Its fine you just had a bad dream, ill fix it for you." A wide grin filled his face as he drilled into my right temple... my eyes grew bloodshot ... then darkness. I was never a detective, I was always a patient. I shouldn't have ran away from such a ridiculous argument but I needed to be the groom... I NEEDED TO... that's why everything was familiar, this is my home... it was always my home.
