Time passed and before you know it, it was already morning. As I thought about last night when I saw Grey, my heart grew heavier by the minute. I got out of bed and left my home only to return to the very guild which brought me joy. I stopped before I walked into the guild only to take a deep breath. I wondered if I had any friends I could talk to about Lyon and I. Luckily, only one person came to mind. No, it wasn't my cousin Sherry but, my best friend Wendy! Just then, I ran into the guild with a smile on my face only to find the guild completely empty. That reminds me, a week ago Baba-sama said,
FLASHBACK:
"Cheria! Don't forget that were going to the beach next week! Lucky for you youngsters! You all will get to see me in my birthday swimsuit! Hahahahaha!" Everyone that heard Baba-sama hurled at the thought of seeing her in her birthday swimsuit. Baba-sama acted surprised and said,
"Would you all like a preview of me in my swimsuit? Teehee! You youngsters these days. Honestly, your rowdiness makes me wanna spin! Ah~ but every time I look at you Cheria! It reminds me of myself in the past! Ah, the men would stare at me like I was a raw ruby. They still do even to this very day! Of course, my beauty surpasses yours by a million years! Hahaha!" That was when sweat ran down my forehead at the thought me turning into a wrinkly old hag like Baba-sama in the future. My face grew paler as I asked Baba-sama,
"Ummm...does that mean that since I remind you of yourself in the past, that I'll end up looking like you in the future?" Baba-sama replied with a grin running across her face,
"Yes! Aren't you glad! Of course, you'll still pale in comparison to me!" Baba-sama's eyes twinkled in delight, while I could feel more sweat running down my face as I passed out.
END OF FLASHBACK:
Ugh, I still have nightmares! Wait a minute, I'll get to see Lyon in a swimsuit so I guess it won't be all that bad. However, I don't think I have any nice swimsuits. That's the moment when I realized, "This is what best friends are for!" I walked over to Wendy's house and Carla opened the door for me. Wendy welcomed me with a smile and we sat down at a table talking about all sorts of matters. I finally got to the topic of needing to buy a swimsuit since we were going to the beach and Wendy agreed to help me. She asked with gleaming eyes and with her hands covering her mouth,
"Is there a guy you're trying to impress!" I replied with a sullen look on my face,
"I guess it is pretty obvious huh?"
