Bella's point of view

I anxiously walk back and forth, in my living room, while I wait for Amanda and Daniel to come back home. It was difficult to put Anna and Emily to sleep after the whole commotion that happened in the market, but they fell asleep eventually. They were still trembling in fear till they fell asleep. The house is completely silent and the only sound I can hear is the rain pouring down really harsh outside. I went out as soon as I heard the horses whinnying outside the door. I quickly walk towards the horse carriage, and stand in front of it, not caring about getting completely soaked. The carriage door opens and first walks out Daniel then Amanda. As soon as they got down, the horse carriage was then being raced away. Daniel holds Amanda while they walk towards the house, not noticing my presence. I quietly walk behind them, following them into the house, not really bothering them. We enter the house, Daniel turns back to close the door but then he finally notices me.

"Oh, when did you...? I am sorry." He apologised after he realised that I was right behind them and yet he didn't notice.

"It's okay" I quietly said, the tension in the house around us starts to build up as we stayed silent.

"I lost my baby as well as my powers." Amanda then suddenly spoke up. She plops on her knees and places her head on her palms. I can hear her furiously sobbing. I go next to her and make her stand up then I walk to her room. I look back at Daniel who is silently standing on his spot and looking at us. I gestured him to go and freshen up, I will take care of Amanda. He understood my gesture and went to our bedroom to freshen up.

As soon as we entered Amanda's room, I closed the door behind and immediately she throws herself on me then starts sobbing louder.

"They- they said, if I went to them sooner, then maybe the child would have been able to live." She said, in between her sobs and immediately my chest is filled with sadness and guilt. I close my eyes and gulp in hard to push back the lump that is forming in my throat then I sigh.

"It's all my fault, Bella." She cried and I furiously shake my head.

"If it's your fault, then it's mine too." I quietly said and she sobbed harder.

"I should've forced you to go to the doctor." I mutter under my breath, my words filled with regret.

I then go to the bathroom, attached to her room, and turn on the water faucet to fill the bathtub. I immediately start undressing her as soon as she stopped crying and stood motionlessly, so that none of us have to get sick because of our completely soaked clothes and hair. I then walk her to the bathroom and place our naked bodies into the hot steaming water. Her back faced toward me and I sigh out in sadness. Her back looks so sad and lost, my heart clenches for her as I watch her back. I, immediately, take the cloth then I start scrubbing her back, as if she is a child who doesn't know how to bath properly, while she sits motionlessly.

After the hot steamy bath, I dressed her up, then dried her hair and then put her to bed, even though I know she won't be able to sleep tonight. In fact, none of us will be able to sleep after what happened during the day. I close Amanda's door behind after I left the room and walk towards my room. Daniel immediately stands up, he is now wearing dry clothes and his hair is still wet. I get a cloth and then make him sit on the bed, so that I can dry his hair properly.

"You should've dried your hair properly." I said, not knowing what to really say.

"Half of her powers are gone with the baby." Daniel suddenly spoke up while I dry his hair.

"Tomorrow we will be called to the Royal court." He announced and I stopped my movements for a moment, to process what he said, and then resumed drying his hair.

"After what the Royal court will decide, they will then take away rest of her powers." Daniel said and I completely froze. I could feel the rage and guilt mixing in my chest.

"Why!? She already lost her child!" I exclaimed in exasperation.

"How can they do this to her!?" I exclaimed, in anger.

"How is Prince Edward letting this happen!? I thought, he loved her!" I said, and suddenly, before I even realise, tears started flowing down my cheeks.

Daniel stays in his spot and lets me cry. He knows that I don't like it when someone stares at me while I am crying or comfort me. He just lets me cry without doing anything.

"I should've forced her to go the doctor." I said while I cried, Daniel stays quiet.

"What have I done!?" I cried out in guilt mostly, then I am immediately wrapped around Daniel's arms making me sob harder.

"It's not your fault." His calm and soothing voice reached my heart and soul making me tighten my grip on his shirt.

The whole night I spent crying in Daniel's arms while he just held me without a word. Before I even realised, I fell asleep in his arms with my cheeks soaked with tears.

The next morning, as soon as the morning light fell on my face, I woke up immediately. I look around with my eyes squinted and then suddenly I am reminded of the events that happened yesterday. I am soon fully awake after I was reminded of the events. I look beside me to find Daniel sleeping with a disturbed expression and I frown. I then rush out of my room to Amanda's room. I sigh out in relief as soon as I spot her sleeping on her bed. I feared that before I wake up, she would be gone. I sit down on the ground, next to her sleeping body. I can see the streak of dried tears on her face.

"I am glad you are alive." I barely whisper to her, more like to myself. I then leave her alone with a gentle kiss on her forehead and close her bedroom door behind me.
