when the sun comes home from a long night at work, peeking behind the curtain of darkness and softly whispering a good morning to all the people of the town, apologizing for being away for so so long

but the people of the town don't mind the suns departure

the people of the town are glad the sun went to rest for a little while to shine just as brightly the very next day

the people of the town don't mind that the sun had to use the moon and all her cousins to try to make up for their leaving, still coating the land below them in blackness with only a soft, subtle glow settled up up high, leaving a canvas of black oil paint dotted with sparks of light here and there for the towns people to stare at instead of light, fluffy clouds

the towns people don't mind the few hours of darkness they were forced to succumb because it gave them a visual of the changing of the sun and moon in their bodies

the people of the town know that the sun works hard every day to feed them and feels terrible for leaving and they appreciate it greatly

but they don't mind being in the darkness for a little while.

they know that the sun will come around sooner or later bc the sun loves seeing the smiles on the towns peoples faces and the glow in their hearts

but they also don't mind if they let the moon see the sparkle in their eyes and dreariness of their soul once in a while.

they don't mind if the sun goes down for a short sleep because, as dark and cold as the night can be, it is necessary for the day.

as bitter and painful as the darkness can be, it is also beautiful and possibly more so than when the sun is home, in the very next room.

the night may be difficult but the people of the town don't mind it at all because they know the moon means well and is still trying to shine as brightly as possible even though she feels overcome by the dark sky she rest upon, lacking the strength of the sun, the moon bears holes of weary attempt, neglect, and refusal.

the moon hates being in the sky alone, even though she has so many cousin up there with her,

she wishes she could shine brighter in the hopes of creating a night brighter than any day the sun has ever made.

but the people of the town don't mind.

the people of the town prefer if the moon shine dimly and smiled brightly rather than if she used all her energy
in making others happy.

the people of the town don't mind the dark nights because it gives their eyes a rest

the people of the town don't mind if the moon feels lonely at times because they have all felt lonely at times, the towns people have all felt as though they don't shine brightly enough to match that of the sun,

but they learned not to mind it

the people of the town don't mind the grim, cold, nights that moon gives them because they know she tries her best and they know that in order to have the brightest day, you sometimes have to endure a bitterly dark night here and here.

but the people of the town don't mind, because that's just the way the have learned to live.
