"Okay?" Brooke asked Daniel trying to steady him with his crutches.

"Okay. All right, these are gonna take some getting used to" Daniel spoke almost falling.

"You got it. Come on." I smiled

"Okay. Okay, okay, not so fast. I don't want him to fall." Judy exclaimed worriedly.

"I got it, Ma." Daniel groaned.

"Come on, Judy aren't we all secretly hoping he'll fall" I giggled, causing Daniel to nudge me with his crutch. "Hey no fair, they extend your arms" I whined.

"I just spoke with the FBI. It's your lucky day, Daniel." Louis sung walking towards us.

"What?" Daniel questioned.

"Case is closed. There was some kind of an accident and the evidence is all gone."

"Wow! That's Wow!" Daniel sighed relieved.

"Wait, what accident, Dad? I don't understand." Brooke objected.

"Who cares? Right, Mom?" Daniel asked.

"Yeah. What a break." She smiled.

"Brooke, why are you being weird about this? Be happy for him" I sneered lowly in her ear.

"Louis, I will never let you down again. I promise." Daniel promised.

"I believe you. But as a leader, you failed miserably. Now, I appreciate all the contributions you've made to the Greenhouse, and that's why I won't expel you. But you'll no longer be captain of the Eagles." Louis stated leaving us in shock.

"He can't do that, right? You- you've always been the Eagles captain" I stuttered out, worried.

"Guys, look who's back!" I cheered as I walked into the Eagles clubhouse with Daniel and Brooke. Everyone came over to greet Daniel happy to have him back. Parker giver Daniel a hug, as Sophie records the situation, speaking for behind her Louie.

"Although it's good to be back at the Greenhouse, for Daniel Hayward, the question remains, is he still our captain?"

"Guys, I am, and always will be your captain."

"But we heard Louis told you that you needed to-" Sophie began before being interrupted by Daniel.

"Louis was a little upset over everything that happened, so he overreacted. My mum will talk some sense into him. Relax, guys, okay?"

"Our captain will never let us down. Come on. Let's get on the game, see if you still got it." Parker suggested

"Oh, you know I still got it, Parker." Daniel boasted heading towards the couch to play the PlayStation.

"Don't be pissed when I beat you both" I teased moving with them.

"Eagles. I know these last few days have been chaotic for everyone. But everything will return to normal as soon as you select a new captain." Louis spoke entering the clubhouse.

"Whoa. Wait. Did my mum talk to you yet?" Daniel asked shocked.

"I cannot overlook your lapse of judgment. This has been a very difficult decision to make. And I want to thank Daniel for his service. Your new captain has some very big shoes to fill. So you should vote for a new captain immediately."

"Louis that's not fair" I defended Daniel.

"Oh, good you're here Miss Stevens, saves me from having to embarrass you in front of the Ravens. You should have spoken to me when you learnt about what had happened to Daniel and the fact that you didn't proves to me you are not responsible, I will be handling the organisation of any future events happening in the school. Perhaps when I feel you are responsible enough you will have some imput again, until that time focus on your school work."

"Louis I've been helping you organise the events since I first got here, I've always completed the jobs I had to do, I'm responsible" I pointed out.

"Clearly not"

"Don't punish her for something I did Louis. It was my fault, I told her not to tell anyone" Daniel argued.

"She shouldn't have listened" Louis stated exiting the room.

"You okay, babe?" I asked as Daniel cleaned out his captain's locker.

"You know who built this locker room? Hmm? After all my mother did for this school, your dad just spits in her face. And dragging Cami down, for something she didn't even do." Daniel complains.

"I'm sorry"

"Don't be. Talk to him."

"You know that won't do any good."

"And I thought you were on my side." Daniel scoffed.

"I am. I'm just saying it could have gone much worse. You could have been expelled!"

"I wish I was. It would have been less humiliating."

"Daniel" I sighed.

"You know what? I just really want to be alone right now."

"How is he?" Dad asked me as I walked into his quarters

"Daniel? Not great"

"He's gonna recover faster than you think. He's tough."

"Yeah. Dad, what do you make of that car fire?" I asked sitting down.

"They said it was an accident."

"But don't you think that's kind of weird? What are the odds?"

"Don't tell me you're becoming a conspiracy theorist." Dad chuckles.

"I'm not. But seriously, if that car hadn't caught fire and destroyed the evidence, then Daniel would be in so much trouble."

"Why worry about something that hasn't happened?"

"You're right. Well, I should get back to the drama at the clubhouse." I said standing up to leave.

"Thank you, Brooke." Dad spoke stopping me.

"For what?"

"For not trying to persuade me to reinstate Daniel as captain."

"Well, I figured if Judy couldn't convince you, there's no way I could."

"Actually, she agreed with my decision."

"Can I sit?" I asked approaching Daniel on the beach.

"Always" he smiled softly.

"What happened to your hand?" I asked noticing him rubbing his knuckles.

"The captains locker and I had a disagreement"

"You punched your locker" I laughed.

"A few times" He chuckled.

"Well I hope the locker felt it" I smiled.

"Me too"

"I got you something" I spoke handing him his gift

"A rose?"

"Not just any rose, a red one. And not just any red rose, no no no, smell it." I spoke enthusiastically.

"Paint?"

"It used to be white"

"You painted the rose red" he laughed.

"In memory of us being stupid and attempting to cover up a mistake that ended up having severe consequences. Plus it was fun singing 'Painting the Roses Red' while doing it." I giggled.

"Your so weird" Daniel teased.

"Hey, don't judge me, cause if you do I'll judge you too"

"Not judging, I like that about you"

"Whatever" I laughed nugding his shoulder, as we turned to look back on the beach seeing the sun set.
