Uh, I have one in production where the protagonist is a really skilled soldier in a world ravaged by war between two factions (one using genetic manipulation and human and animal experimentation, the other using robots and mechanics saying the other was inhumane), but doesn't know how to actually express care or emotion, and she finds out that her entire side were actually controlled by an AI programmed to create the perfect race. She is persuaded to escape by one of the student forced upon her, and learns to love and emote with the other side. They rebel against the AI and their faction, and all is happily ever after.
