Chapter Eighteen:
Homecoming

As Peter got ready for the dance he felt sad. Sad because he couldn't go with Katherine to homecoming because he had asked another girl named Liz. He was also sad because he can no longer go out in a cool suit. Instead, the 5'8 hero from queens goes in his homemade suit.

"I don't understand why we even need ties they choke us." Peter mumbles as his aunt and him continue to watch tutorials for tying ties.

Time flys and before Peter knows it he's outside of Liz's house. In Peters mind she was a sweet girl he had a crush on before Katherine. He didn't think he had a chance with her so he chose to switch it up with Liz. But it changed the night they shared their first kissed. Even a blind man can see that Katherine and Peter had chemistry. And not the kind that happens in a classroom even if they are chemistry partners.

In Katherine's mind she was the devil. She was the sweetest devil ever. She was tall, smart, beautiful all without having powers and lived in a big house. She made Katherine feel insecure which she hated. It made her blood boil and the hair at the back of her neck rise when she saw her.

Katherine found herself constantly thinking that without her powers all she would be was a pretty face. Nothing like Liz and that made her even more mad.

Peter entered the house completely stunned. The boy lost color in his face as his eyes meet the eyes of the man who tried to kill his girl along with him.

"Holy crap." He mumbled as his hands shook.

Back at Katherine's she was pacing around deciding whether or not she would go to the dance.

"Fuck it." She says and runs upstairs to get changed.

"Harry let's go!" She yells and walks down the stairs shocking Harry.

"You look beautiful." He says and holds onto his dates hand a little harder scared of he lets go he would make a mistake.

Harry Osborn has been in love with Katherine since forever. He planned on making a move on her but Peter came into the picture and ruined everything. So Harry started seeking refuge in sleeping with random girls and drinking.

Arriving at the dance Katherine got out of the drivers seat seeing and immediately a lot of guys started gawking at her.

"Hey baby!" One calls and her face scrunches up in disgust repulsed by the idea that "cat calling" existed reminding her to fix that when she runs for president.

Harry and the girl were nowhere to be seen anymore so she headed alone up those stairs and into the room where it felt like they were waiting for her grand entrance.

Everyone stopped to look at her. Girls envied her curls and dark hair. They envied the way she could pull off any lipstick, and clothing without looking bad. The goddess was from everywhere and nowhere. Her tan skin made her look like a Hispanic girl but she was from everywhere. But the other students didn't know that as all they acted about is when she will commit a mistake and trash her on it.

Guys envied the boys closed to her because they got to spend time with a beautiful girl. That they wanted either for their pleasure or a genuine relationship.

But Katherine paid no attention to that as she tries to keep herself away from boys because she know at the end of the day she would only think of one named, Peter.

"Katherine!" Michelle cheers and the rest of the room claps.

"Get ready to get mind fucked because a queen is here."

Katherine mumbled and made her way down the stairs. Seconds later Peter and Liz come into the scene and Peters breathe is taken away as he looks at the girl in the red dress in front of him.

She looks stunning, Peter thinks and catches her eye. She winks and continues to talk to Harry who had a date. For once he wasn't all over her.

When Peter saw her he knew that staying at this dance would be a mistake. There was a man out there who wanted to steal from Stark to make weapons and Peter knew that even without the Stark suit he would be fine because he had Katherine.

While Katherine spoke to Harry over the loud music Peter saw from a distance Harry lean in to her ear and tell her something.

Liz looked at Peter who was looking at them and sighed.
She knew he liked her and he came with the wrong girl. Liz thought it broke Katherine's heart being here with him but in a matter of seconds she would have hers broken too.

"Liz- you don't deserve this I'm so sorry." Peter says and he runs to Katherine not giving her s chance to speak.

"We need to go." He says and she nods.

"Kick ass." Michelle says and pushes Katherine into Peters arms. Peter then turns to bed and tells him to get to a computer because he needed the man in the chair.

Once they were in the dark hallways Peter grabbed Katherine carrying her bridal style knowing her ankle was bad and got his old clothes along with his old web shooters.

"Change here." Katherine tells Peter and he blushes. Knowing he had no other options he stripped down and got into his old clothes.

"Captain America who?" She whistles and Peter blushes harder.

"Shut up." He says and she laughs.

"Let's go spider boy." She says and Peter chuckles.

"You don't even know what we are doing or what happened." He tells her and she blushes in embarrassment.

"Right spill the tea boo."

"Girl lemme tell you." Peter says while clapping.

"Ooo shit."
