"Kona! It's time for school! Hurry up or you'll be late," Mom yelled. "I'm leaving. Have a good day, honey. Remember, control your mind."

Mom always left the house after saying that. Remember, control your mind. I love her but sometimes I wish she would just let me be me. So far, I have controlled my powers pretty well. I only slipped up once or twice by accidentally making my water bottle float off the desktop for a second before I grab it, heart racing.

I just can't focus on school anymore. I have this feeling that I need to go out in search of something. I think it's like a pull to the others like me. There must be more. But today is not the day to go out in search of them. Today I am going to school.

School has become very difficult for me now. I am always imagining being able to use my power openly but I catching myself before I do anything that might be a problem. I have kept my powers a secret from everyone, even my closest friends. It truly is exhausting and I don't know how much longer I can keep it up.

The day dragged by and finally, the bell rang. I had decided that I am going to leave in two days, on Saturday and go out to search for whatever this pull is toward.

Saturday

I have packed up everything that I could possibly need for the next for the next few weeks. I don't know how long this journey may take or if it will ever even come to an end. My parents, being the sweet, supportive parents that they were, bought me a car (a gorgeous new Acura MDX) that I loaded up. I used the cargo net and cargo cover to hold all my belongings and hide them.

I absolutely adored my car. The MDX was a beautiful red color with black hubcaps. I had gotten a pack that included lots of cool accessories and when I open my doors, the door sills illuminate. The interior was a smooth black with black leather seats and I had a moon roof. The engine was a V-6 engine with 3 motor hybrid system and a sport hybrid super handling all-wheel drive for the winter. I have always been a fan of cars and driving along, I could name almost every brand and model of each car that we passed. While my dream car was a Tesla Model X, I absolutely loved my Acura MDX.

I said goodbye to my parents and promised to contact them whenever I could and to be careful. I was really going to miss them. After hugging them all, I climbed into the driver's seat and pulled out of the driveway. I switched on my music and danced away my anxiety as I drove away, waving to my family.

Since I didn't really have a plan of where to go, I didn't have any hotels or anything booked. I figured that I could always just sleep in the backseat of my car if it came to that. The pull was pulling me north, so that's where I went. After about three hours of straight driving, the pull was so much stronger then before. It started to feel like intense excitement and I couldn't wait until I finally reached whatever it was that I was being pulled towards.

At this point, I really needed to use the bathroom. I spotted a sign that pointed towards a park with a waterfall, campsite, restaurant, and (most importantly!) bathrooms. I took the exit and pulled into a spot. I reached over to the passenger seat and grabbed my phone. The park was super pretty that I figured I could take some pictures for my mom, she loves waterfalls so why not!

After using the restroom, I walked over to the viewing area for the waterfall. I snapped some pictures from multiple different angles and then shoved my phone into the pocket of my sweatshirt. Since I had taken enough photos for my mom, I decided to just sit down and relax for a bit and enjoy the view of the waterfall.

I started to daydream and suddenly, I look up and see the waterfall forming the now familiar intricate designs in midair. I jump up and imagine the water flowing the natural way and after a second, the water that was just dancing in the air, splashes down into the pond below and the water returns to it's natural fall.
