Chapter 4

The Next Day

 I wake up in Sweet Pea's bed with his arms wrapped around my waist and I hear my alarm going off. I groan and turn it off before sliding out of his bed and heading to his bathroom to use the mirror so I can put my hair up. I grab my now dry jeans and shove my socks and boots on. I go to change out of Sweet Pea's shirt and into my own when I notice that it's still wet.
"I can drop you off if you need me too" Sweet Pea says
"You really don't care about all those Northsiders coming after you?" I ask
"You do care?" he asks
"I don't want people coming after you because we are whatever it is we are" I say
"I can handle them" he says
"Well I don't want people to assume that we are more than friends. Northsiders, word gets around so quickly with us" I say
"When am I gonna get my shirt back then, friend?" he asks and I smirk
"When I decide to give it to you." I say heading to the door
"See you around Giagantor" I say heading to school

Riverdale High School

I start texting Toni during class, telling her about last night and I ask a question I never thought I would
How do I become a Serpent?
Why do you wanna be a Serpent? Does it have to do with a certain 'Giagantor' that you spent the night with last night?
Toni's texts make me laugh.
He's half the reason, Jughead he's the other half. He's my best friend. I made a promise that I would go through everything with him. If that includes becoming a Serpent, then so be it.
Are you sure this is what you really want Lily? Are you prepared to lose everyone to join us?

The Next Day - After School

Toni teaches me all about the dance that I have to do and helps me pick some stuff out to wear tomorrow night before I head over to the open house to go support my dad.
"Ronnie" I say
"Lily. I want you to meet my dad" she says
"Your dad?" I ask and she nods grabbing my hand as she pulls me over to him
"Daddy, this is Lilyana Andrews. Archie's younger sister and Fred's daughter. Lily this is my dad Hiram Lodge" she says and he reaches out a hand as do I to shake it but he kisses my cheek.
"Nice to meet you Miss Andrews" he says and I pull back
"You too Mr Lodge" I say
"Veronica, who might this be?" I hear someone ask and we turn to see a tall, raven haired stranger.
"Nick, this is Lily. Lily, this is Nick St. Claire" she introduces
"Archie's little sister" she clarifies
"I'm sorry, I crossed a line and I'm so sorry" he says
"Well I'm gonna go talk to my dad" I say walking towards him and Hermione
"Mrs Lodge, you look incredible" I say
"Thank you Lily. You look beautiful as well" she says
"Thank you Mrs Lodge" I say
"Did Veronica tell you?" she asks
"Tell me what?" I ask
"Us Lodges were wondering if you'd perform tonight as a solo act. She and the Pussycats are gonna do a few songs then maybe you could do a few songs" she says and I nod
"I'd be happy to Mrs Lodge. You have a guitar right?" I ask
"Yes, Acoustic and Electric and a capo" she says 

Later

Josie, Veronica and the Pussycats perform a few songs and then run off
"Lily you're up" Ronnie says and someone passes me a guitar
"This is called Mine and it's by Taylor Swift" I say and begin strumming

"Dad, I gotta go. I got some stuff to do with Jughead" I say and he nods as I head to Jughead's trailer
I walk in to see him and Toni sharing a kiss.
"Oh, woah. I should have knocked. Toni told me she'd be here after your initiation. Congrats man, how does it feel to be the newest member?" I say and he gives me a look
"You really don't know what happened before my final trial?" he asks
"Well I've been with my dad, so fill me in" I say
"Betty broke up with me, via Archie" he says
"What the hell?" I ask raising my voice
"You gonna tell him Lily?" she asks
"Tell me what?" he asks
"I'm joining the Serpents" I say
"No. You're not" he says
"This is my choice. It's happening tomorrow tonight" I say and he just nods knowing he can't stop me
