the next day at school, your bruise wasn't that bad.
but that wasn't what worried me.
it was your eye.
it was swollen again, and you were thankfully allowed to wear sunglasses during class.
the only reason i know that you had a swollen eye is because i asked about it. you had at first shrugged and said nothing, but we both knew it was a lie.
so i took the sunglasses off for you, then tucked them into your hand, before walking away.
