   (Friday)

No one is here yet. Me, myself and I have been waiting 2 hours. I haven't seen Haymitch, Effie, Portia, Cinna, or Peeta. How come I'm the first to arrive.

I stand in front of the mirror in the guest's quarters in the Mayor Undersee's House. Madge, my friend...my only girl friend, has already come to see me. Now I stand here dressed waiting for Cinna and the Team to finish my hair and make-up. The dress is beautiful. Simple blue satin dress.

Cinna busts through the door. He looks frantic and overwhelmed. I should try to calm him down.

"Cinna, don't worry I figured my way into this puzzle of a dress. All you have to worry about is my-" He grabs my arm and we are flying out the door.

"Cinna What are you doing? Where are we going?" I ask trying not to get worried.

"Katniss" we stop in the long hallway, " We need to get you home as soon as possible."

"Cinna what happened? Is Prim okay? Is my mother okay?" I say with my nerves kicking in.

"They are both fine. But- I'll explain in the car." He says, and we take off through the complicated hallways. A Car? He the cars that people, like Cinna, from the capitol use.

He opens the door for me to enter the car. He slides in next to me and tells the driver to go. He isn't frantic as much anymore. He has mellowed down and found his sense.

"Cinna, I would really like to know why I need to go home?" I ask, I'm calm because he is.

He explains everything in such a short time. I start to breathe fast and my heart is pounding enough so Panem can hear it. As the car parks, I notice we aren't in Victor's Village but in the Seam. At the new infirmary.

This is the story:

Gale had woken up early and went to catch game. In his luck, he had caught a fair amount of squirrels. He had decided to sell the game to Mr. Mellark at the bakery. He had known Peeta wouldn't be there because he had the feast and presentation at the Mayor's house. So he had no intentions to come face to face with him.

Peeta was suppose to meet at Haymitch's house in Vitcor's Village before 6 o'clock. All week he had been staying at the Mellark Bakery with his father. While exiting through the back door, Gale was at the first step and his hand reaching for the doorknob.

Gale smirks content. "Katniss is the only game that you can't win...even if you try to kill yourself Baker Boy."

Peeta had start to walk away and realized he meant Katniss's was his. "You know what Gale." Peeta stops walks back. "There is a difference between you and me. I'm a baker, you're a hunter. I look like I'm from the capitol now, you look like Katniss's brother. Which by the way is disgusting.....I could go on and on really, but what matters is ... I love Katniss truly and you think this is all a game." Peeta starts to walk away again.

"That's all you have to say? All that doesn't matter anymore because she chose me over you. She's mine, so I would appreciate it if you two wouldn't spend so much time together around the district" Gale says yelling across the backyard.

Peeta turns around and walks up to Gale. Chest to Chest. "You know what's funny? I kissed her first and whenever you kiss her she's thinking about me!" Says Peeta standing tall and strong.

Gale threw his gear down and tackled Peeta onto the dirt ground. Peeta used all his strength to throw Gale into the pen of pigs. Gale came back punched Peeta in the temple enough for Peeta's head to start to bleed. Peeta slams Gale's back into the stone steps to the back door. Both start to hit hard and continue. Neither one giving up.

Mr. Mellark had called up some local Peacekeepers to break up the bloody fight. Both boys blood scattered over the soil and concrete steps.

Both were bruised and beaten, also covered in dirt. But Peeta came out the worst. His face apparently raw and cut up with his elbows torn up. Gale turns out with a bruised back and bloody knuckles. But also, might be a combination of own blood and Peeta's.

I get off the car. I'm nervously shaking. The way that Cinna had explained it, I wouldn't want to see Peeta or Gale in the conditions they are in. I'm more like my father, a hunter of course. I don't take wounds and injuries easily. Prim is the one meant for that. She has my mother's natural born talent.

I brace myself, as Cinna opens the door to my old house.
