Carlos POV

What was that? Even the girls were surprised and they saw me on my best and worst days, well now I've said it I guess I have to follow through.....

Jane POV

I heard really loud yelling from the boys dorms, even through I'm not allowed to go in there I'm still very curious. I walked over to the building and waited out front.
I then saw two girl exit from the building. Evie and Mal. They looked very shocked to see me out front. Even though I was nervous to talk I approached the girls shyly and asked,
"What happened? I heard really loud yelling." I asked as I looked down
"Oh, that yelling was....." Evie started knowing she wasn't good liar
"That was Jay. Yelling at Carlos, for defending a girl named Jane" Mal continued,"not sure who that is though" Mal shrugged
"Wait.. Me? As in me Jane?" Jane squeaked
"Oh your Jane, he surprised us as well, he is usually very quiet as he is younger than us" Mal started
"Well goodnight, it's almost past curfew" Evie finished
"Oh goodnight Evie, Mal" Jane said with a smile

"We've got this in the bag" Mal smiled for once in her life as she explained what happened
"Maybe you will show us what you can do for once in your life Carlos" Jay teased with a smirk
"I don't care! I'm going to the library, leave me alone" Carlos stated
Carlos stormed off leaving the other speechless

Carlos POV
I'm absolutely furious at my so called friends, they are so rude. I need to think about this, just because I'm 2 years younger than them doesn't mean they can call me a runt and pick on me. Auradon isn't even that bad. I don't want to go back to hell, I want to stay here where I can read, go on the computers without damaging the barrier and have normal friends where people can smile at you and you can smile back. Without your isle friends teasing you. So what if she was pretty. No one cares. No one needs to I'm happy the way I am.

"Hi Carlos, any books you are interested in?" Jane said poking her head out of her book 'Cinderella' snapped Carlos back into reality
"Sci-Fi. Wait don't you have that book memorised by now?" Carlos said with a laugh
Jane laughed as well "Yeah, I do we have a test in Remidial Goodness and I want to make sure I didn't miss anything,"
Jane explained with a smile looking the white haired boy in the eyes which she surprised herself by doing that "Oh! That reminds me I'm a library helper and we just put out a section of the library just for Scientific Fiction" Jane said with a huge proud smile on her face
"Really?!" Carlos' eyes lit up and his smile was twice as big as Jane's
"Yeah, follow me!" she said as she put her book down
She led Carlos by the hand, unknowingly grabbed his hand and pulled him along, his face turned into a beat which went unnoticed by the brunette. Until they got to the amazingly lit up space themed corner, which was past the villains and princess exhibit, past the cook book section and finally past the fashion section.
Jane turned around and suddenly looked at his face eyes afraid, and dropped his hand, her face matching his in a tomato imitating game. She looked down at her shoe. Carlos unsure of what to do, put his hand on her chin to get her to look up at him and said,
"Jane, this is amazing, did you do these by yourself?"
"Y-yes I did," Jane smiled locking her eyes with his "Wow, sorry to put it this way but you were not what I was expecting at all, I was expecting monsters that would make everyone scream and look away, but you have the most gorgeous chocolate eyes" she said putting her hand under his jaw with a careful smile,
Carlos' face went as red as his jacket
"Jane... that really means a lot, you see I've never really been told anything like that, my friends like to tease me a lot and I didn't really get handled with care my whole life, being the son of Cruella De Vil I didn't really get prioritised over her fur coats but this small chat and nice words have made all 15 years of life worth it." Carlos said with a small smile, he looked over at Jane who was almost crying
"Jane.... please don't cry" Carlos whispered
"I'm sorry Carlos," Jane said pulling him into a hug "You don't deserve what you got"
"Yes, I agree but I got what I got Jane," he sighed " We should get to class, what about after this class we meet back here" Carlos smiled
"Yeah, that sounds great!" Jane smiled
They both went their seperate ways with a smile and wave
