Jack's POV
I walk around the school trying to find Gabbie. I stopped knowing she's here I text Aspen.
Jack
1st floor. I'll distract her. You stake her.
I look up seeing Gabbie right in front of me.
"Hello, Jack" Gabbie said I look at her and put my phone up
"I'm here want do you want?" I asked walking closer
"The same thing I wanted when you helped make Jake stab me" She said walking closer
"The cure" I said she smiled before pushing me against the lockers I moved pushing her against the lockers
"I hope you're not waiting for Aspen to show up and stake me" I looked at her confused "because I already found her" Gabbie said showing me the stake
She dragged me into the library I see Aspen, Christina, and Y/n.
"Jack" Y/n said standing up
"Did I say you could move" Gabbie asked Y/n stared at Gabbie before sitting down
"Class is in session. You've all been compelled. You know the rules. Answer my questions honestly, no disobedience, no one leaves. Christina, my sweet, take notes." Christina started to search for something in her bag "this is how you get answers in this town" Gabbie said walking around
"Let's start with a little quiz. In the year 1114, my brother learned" Gabbie looked at me "thanks to yours truly" I looked at her "about a brotherhood of vampire hunters with tattoos that grew with each kill. And these tattoos reveal what? Y/n? " Gabbie asked
"A map" Y/n said
"Which led to, Aspen" Gabbie asked
"A cure for vampirism" Aspen said
"Perfect. We're all caught up" Gabbie said smiling
"Jack Avery, the last time we saw each other, you had a vampire hunter, but in order to decode the map, you needed the location of the Hunter's sword, Which you got out of me using some very dirty tricks." Gabbie said I looked at her "assuming you found the sword, you must have found out the cure, and yet you're all still vampires, which means something went wrong. What are you doing" Gabbie asked Christina
"You asked me to take notes" Christina said
"I wasn't being literal, darling but now that you mention it, a flow chart would be nice. Which means index cards and push pins. Go fetch" Gabbie said Christina got up walking away
"You're wasting your time we don't know anything" I said
"So you just gave up. I thought you'd do anything to save Y/n, even if it meant taking the cure yourself so you could grow old and die with her" Gabbie said I looked at her Y/n looked at me surprised
"Why do you look so surprised" Gabbie asked Y/n she looked away
"I'm missing something. What is it?" Gabbie asked us
"They broke up, ok" Gabbie smiled "now let's us go" Aspen said
"Broke up? Wait. I'm confused. I thought y/n was your epic love, Jack." Gabbie asked sitting down looking at me I didn't answer
"I asked you what happened and you have to tell me" Gabbie said
"She slept with Corbyn" I said bitter (Christan and Corbyn aren't together in this)
Y/n looked at me surprised but then stared at Aspen.
"Let's spice things up a bit. Y/n, truth or dare" Gabbie asked looking at Y/n
"We're done playing your stupid games, Gabbie" I said
"Truth or dare, Y/n?" Y/n didn't answer "You're compelled. Answer." Gabbie said
"Dare" Y/n said
"I dare you to tell Jack the truth about Corbyn" Gabbie said
"Seriously" Aspen asked Gabriel looked at Aspen then Y/n
"Being with Corbyn makes me happy" Y/n said I looked up
"Makes you happy? Clowns make you happy, Y/n. Dig a little deeper" Gabbie said
"When I'm with him... It feels unpredictable, like... like I'm free" Y/n said I didn't look at her
"And how do you feel when you're with Jack" Gabbie asked
"Stop" Aspen said
"She can't. She's compelled" Gabbie said looking at her
"Lately, I feel like I'm a project, like I'm a problem that needs to be fixed" looking at me I looked at her "I think I make him sad and I can't be with someone like that because... " She sighs "when he looks at me, all he sees is a broken toy" Y/n said gabbie looked at me smiling I looked away
"Do you still love Jack?" Gabbie asked
"Yes" Y/n said I looked her
"Are you still in love with Jack" Gabbie asked her

"Did that hurt, having someone you love drive a dagger through your heart" Gabbie asked looking at me
"Go to hell" I said
"Did... That... Hurt" Gabbie asked
"Yes" I said looking at Y/n
"Welcome to the last 900 years of my life" Gabbie said looking at me walking out with Aspen
"Jack... " Y/n said looking at me
"No" I said
"Jack, we have to talk about this. Please" Y/n said
"Talk about what, huh?" I walked away from the door facing her "how many more ways are there for you to rip my heart out" I asked her
"I'm sorry" Y/n said
"Sorry that it happened, or sorry that I found out?" I asked
"I'm sorry about all of it. I'm really sorry Jack. I didn't mean to hurt you. I didn't want that" Y/n said Gabbie walked in
"Why are my least favorite people always the most durable?" Gabbie asked
"Leave her out of this. This is between me and you" I said looking at Gabbie
"You're still protecting her? Must I rip your bleeding heart from your chest" She pushed me a little "and show you the scar tissue that is
Y/n L/n?" Gabbie said looking at Y/n and walked towards her
"There's a solution to all your problems, you know. I could compel him erase every memory he has of you." Y/n looked at her "every day you've spent together, every kiss, every lie, every ounce of pain." I looked at Gabbie "I can take away every bit of love he has for you. Give you both a clean slate. Just say the word, and I'll make you and all that misery you've caused him disappear." Gabbie said looking at Y/n
"Do it" I said Y/n looked at me Gabbie turned around
"Excuse me" Gabbie asked me
"Erase it all. Every memory." I said
"Jack, no" Y/n said

"No" I looked at her "Thank would be far too easy. I refuse to make you forget her the way Jake made you forget me." Gabbie said I looked away she turned to Y/n
"But at least you know how he really feels." Gabbie said to Y/n she turned around again
"Consider your eternity of pain my revenge, Jack" I looked at her "I've used you for all you're worth. So now you're free to go" Gabbie said before leaving
I looked at Y/n and she looked at me with hurt in her eyes. I started to walk away from her.
"Jack, wait" Y/n said I kept on walking
I heard her follow me but I just kept on walking even when she stopped.
