Oh god, Volume 18's already out?

Let's return with the TOHO eurobeat reviews! Volumes 1-5 are in the first Touhou Stuff book.

T.E.B. /  越田Rute隆人:  I like the intro, it does give off the fact that you can't fool Eiki, she's the mitochondria of the powerhouse. The brass riff sounds like Speedy Night, but faster and more catchier. Overall, it's not bad, it just doesn't suit me to be honest.

Song based off Shiki Eiki's theme.

Rating: 6/10

summer pop cider -TEB "Forsaken" Remix- / Aki: Holy- that buildup to that brass riff!!! That's awesome! The way the vocals are used sounds real eurobeat like the most. Use it in an Initial D scene and fans would never notice that it's an inferior eurobeat remix.

How long has it been since I did para para?

Song based off Medicine and Yuuka's themes.

Rating: 9.5/10

恋のasterisk / Cocoa: I actually like this one. Similar vibes to an Italo Disco and Faithful Heart. The intro's iffy because it sounds like some intro theme for an anime, but that's also a good thing because the anime would be Initial D (like how you start the car or something). Eurobeat songs are not always about speeding up to the max so you make a song about overdrive, it's also about the leisure of popping it in your car and casually driving it through the night. And this song captures it perfectly!

I slightly prefer slow sounding eurobeat songs because I can drive like a normal person and not like a Fujiwara.

Song based off Tewi and Prismriver Sisters' themes.

Rating: 10/10

flower tartan / Hanathan: What I'm surprised were the songs chosen for this piece. It definitely takes a creative approach and uses it to the max. Only problem; it doesn't suit me well. Sure it's creative but, it feels like it needs more oomph, or a key change. But it's still a great song.

Just saying, I'm 4/5 ignoring the lyrics, which is probably a bad thing to do.
