It's dark at the bottom of this deep cold trench
The light that shines from up above
Is tinted dark with what is here
It started small but nature grows
In the place of what's uncared for
Where once was walls are now dusty clouds
Food for the fish that never were
But something else is crawling around
Where once all life omitted
It's black and thick and holds deep down
The universe within
Distorts the mind this rift of space
It blends so seamlessly
Inviting you in to its open abyss
Then guiding you further still
What really lies at the bottom here
Is unknown to you and I
Even thought we'll try and look
The mind will always deny
Whatever's there is so far down
Your eyes will never perceive
To the "bottom" I float
Body facing the surface
Remembering how i fell in
Trust is wasted in this dark place
On those who seem to care
I stare at the failing surface light
And on my rescue that isn't there
When i'm out of my daze and swim back up
Pull myself ashore
I turn around and glare at the surface
Of my Swimming Pool
