KYRA'S POV

"Kyra!!!!! I asked you to get the mail!" Mum cries from the kitchen.

I groan from my bedroom on the second floor. It's a fairly large room, with teal walls, and a turquoise and neon orange bedspread. Above my bed is about 12 turquoise Chinese lanterns. My chocolate brown colored desk sits in the far corner of the room with my math homework on top, along with some neon orange frames of me and my best friends Lena and Tori. My window bench has a teal cushion, and turquoise and neon orange pillows. Under my bench is all my books.

"Coming mum!" I call.

I run down the stairs and to the mailbox, which has a bunch of bills, and just one letter. I pick up the letter.

Dear Miss Dursley,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

UNIFORM

First-year students will require:

1. Three sets of plain work robes (black)

2. One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear

3. One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)

4. One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings)

Please note that all pupil's clothes should carry name tags.
