i got my desired detention, but my nerves keep me from entering the room where she is sat, defiantly doing what she was originally chastised for. listening to her cds.
i take a deep breath and push open the door, nearly expecting her to turn her head and finally notice me, like what happens in every movie.
that moment never came.
she still had her head lodged in her copy of 'looking for alaska'.
i walked in, provoking no attention from her, whatsoever.
she was still absorbed in the world of secondhand serenade.
