Scarlett's POV
I think it's fair to say I was never good with boys. They made me feel uncomfortable and giddy.  With one flash of a cute smile my knees would go weak.
Of course there was always one boy who had a hold on your heart, and for me that boy was Sam Hadwell. I know he isn't my mate but he is FINE.
The amazing daydreaming of Sam was rudely interrupted by my younger brother Scott. He was shooting a nerf gun at my head. After three shots he hit me, smack in the centre of my forehead. Fair play to him. But I was trying to eat my breakfast so I lifted the spoon in my hand and threw it at him.  Unfortunately he ducked and it hit my mum instead.
I guess it's fair to say the walk to school was at least 1 hour. My mum always gave me a lift but since I hit her with my spoon she made me walk. Which was just great seeing at I was 15 minutes late to my first lesson.

The maths teacher was always on time and he was very strict. So walking in 15 minutes late would be a definite detention.
I slowly pushed the door open. And crept to the back of the classroom. "Excuse me miss Michaels. But why are you 15 minutes late and where is your uniform?"
My what? I slowly looked down at myself realising I was still in my soft fluffy pjs. I really love these pjs they are... WAIT WHAT PJS!?!
Laughs erupted around the room as the teacher told me to sit in isolation for 3 days.
I can't believe he gave me 3 days isolation and a whole week after school detention.
Time to tell my mum
"HE DID WHAT?"
"I'm sorry mum. I just forgot to change out of my pjs"
... Nothing.  All she said after that was that she would pick me up at 4:30 after school.
