Your perspective

"So, what do you say?" Princess Yona persists

"I don't need protecting by the way..." I scoffed at his claim

This little journey seems like fun so why not, plus it seems like they could use the help

I make the pause slightly bigger to add exaggeration to my thinking

"Sure why not..."

The redhead beams happily bouncing in her spot "That's good, Princess has a personal bodyguard and now I can too" The so called 'beautiful boy genius' proclaims proudly

"Who said, I'd be watching your back?" I stare with half lit eyes, he visibly shudders under my gaze making my features grow smugly dark

"No one, no one said that" he chuckled nervously, I hum at his sudden change seeming profusely amused

"Stop picking on the poor kid and let's get a move on" the ex-general scolds

I twirl to face him "-and what if I don't"

He glances at me from over his shoulder and gives me look as if saying 'go ahead, it's not like I want to stop you' so I took it as a sufficient answer and stopped my childish bickering

I wandered behind the group when going up the mountain

On the way up, the princess got the great idea of learning swordsmanship. Hak quickly declined teaching her. When he did, her head whipped in my direction a pleading glint in her eyes while the beast behind her had an equally bad expression clearly demanding otherwise

"No"

My response was quick and flat making the princess groan in annoyance

At one point, the lightning beast was convinced and so we stopped for a bit to teach her majesty archery instead

And the least to say was- "Hak! You can't teach for shit!"

He glared at me from over his shoulder then proceeded to hand me the bow, "You teach her then" I gave him a smug smirk before taking the bow into my hands confidently

I place the bow into the princess' hands and adjust her grip helping her pull back. "It's important to keep a good posture and a firm grip" She nods and so I take a step back inspecting her hold on the weapon. I motion her to shoot and she nails the middle of the tree rather deeply

I glance at Hak sending him the smuggest look I can possibly manage. His brows are furrowed and his mouth hangs open, eyes wide. I open my mouth to speak but am cut short "Nope. Don't say anything" I chuckle at the antic

Once the princess gets a few more shots in we move along trying to catch up to Yun. Not too far into the trail a thick fog gathers around our feet. I trip over a tree's root making me fall into Hak's back "My bad" I 'apologize' and continue nonchalantly not noticing the faint pink dust covering his cheeks

The fog rises up and becomes denser the deeper we go.

Eyes

I could feel many eyes on us. Hak went to clear the fog with a swing of his glaive while whoever was staring at us fired a solid row of arrows. I myself swinging my weapon in order to counter the attack

Hak gave me a look of surprise to which I responded to with a smile. Who ever was in the trees was now visible. Cloaked figures dressed in complete white who were absolutely flabbergasted and I cackled at the sight. They were angered and shot more arrows that I countered easily, though the wind of mine and Hak's combined attack blew off the princess' hood. "Crimson hair" all gasped and awed at her hair. Then welcomed us into the White Dragons village

On our tour around we met up with Yun in a cage "The hell happened to you?" I question with a blank stare. He explains how he got caught in the fog then was captured by the villagers. We laugh for a bit (me and Hak) before he is released from within the confined space and out into the open, reclaiming his position as our companion

As more people saw the Princess' hair they came along to try and get a good glimpse....some even tried to touch it. I found it quite bothersome so I climbed the tree we stood under. Once up I simply stared at the commotion. Some pretty boy eventually made his way to the scene looking to kick us out I could only assume. Yet all he did was hyperventilate and faint first glimpse he got

Though his right arm was a sight to behold

He himself was pretty cute. Flawlessly smooth skin, bright and silky white hair. The scales on his arm were quite beautiful as well if I may add.

His eyes fluttered open. The bright blue in his eyes reflected the sky's shade as the light hit them in an almost perfect way. He seemed disorientated, from what it seemed he had a fever and was hallucinating

A big bonfire was lit later in the night and a big feast was set up for something about the crimson dragons arrival. I asked one of the villagers if I could wash up somewhere. They directed me to a hot spring where I was able to relax, I hadn't even been to a village in who knows how long. Nonetheless been able to properly wash off and relax

As soon as I enter the hot water my tense muscles instantly loosen into a state of comfort. The villagers take care of my clothes and provide a clean set to which I can change into. When I return I thank them for the deed as it was completely unnecessary to which they respond to with 'it was a pleasure'. My cheeks dust lightly in a shade of pure crimson and I scratch the back of my neck thanking them so many more times before making my way back to my companions

I take a seat next to the young boy by the name of Yun and grab something to drink. I stare directly into the cackling flames. Everything else blurring together into nothing but white noise. The music was extremely faint as well. But the flames were all I focused on, the small flaking and the dancing of the blaze. I sniffled having a tear run down my cheek. The castle grounds a raging inferno, the heat hardly evident as my own body was boiling over with anger. My limbs held down by thousands of hands, one particularly placed on the back of my head pushing my face into the gravel rid ground only for it to be raised and forced to look at the gory sight playing out in front of me

"(y/)-"

"(y/n)"

"(Y/n)!"

"(Y/n)!"

My head whipps in the direction of the princess' voice as she calls out for me

"Huh"

My hand swats up to wipe away the stray tear, "What were you saying" I question absentmindedly before sniffling again. She mumbled a small 'nevermind' giving me a worried glance. I swayed the liquid in my cup before downing whatever was left. My eyes casted downward, grimacing in the memories; my eyebrows furrowed and my lips in a small frown. The sorrow clearly evident in my new found glossy eyes
