finn: don't you remember what he did to u? don't you remember the bruises you showed me, don't you remember every shitty thing he has done to you?

millie: i do remember but maybe he changed

finn: no, people like him don't change. he is still the same psychopath he was one day ago

millie: fuck off finn

millie: why are you trying to take away my happiness? i could have a family now and you're trying to make me leave

finn: you are acting insane mills, i don't really want to talk to u rn if u are like that

millie: like what? trying to be happy?

finn: no, stupid af

finn: we'll talk when ur sane again

millie: fuck you

"What the fuck is wrong with her?" Finn asked angrily as he showed Wyatt the texts Millie sent him. Wyatt was confused too and he decided to ask Jaeden about her behavior.

wyatt: jae i need to ask you something

jaeden: what is it

wyatt: it's about millie

jaeden: oh no what has she done now

wyatt: she is acting super weird

wyatt: she told finn to fuck off because apparently finn was trying to take away her happiness, her stepdad has changed to better and she doesn't want to leave hawkins anymore

jaeden: oh

jaeden: stuff like this has happened before

jaeden: when her real father left, she did everything she could to make him come back, she was actually trying to go and find him and she told me to fuck off when i told her that he is not coming back

jaeden: and when her mom started to date chris, she loved him, she thought he was an angel. but then shit went down, he started being abusive after couple years and it broke her heart. and still sometimes when chris acts like a normal human, she thinks that he's changed but that never lasts long

wyatt: god that's so messed up

jaeden: she is just a little girl waiting for someone to fill the void inside of her

jaeden: she loved her dad so much that when he left she just needed someone like him

wyatt: yeah...

wyatt: can you try to talk some sense to her? we really have to get her out of here

jaeden: sure, but if she is going i'm going too

jaeden: i can't let her out of my sight if she's away from her mother too

wyatt: okay

wyatt: but we leave early tomorrow

jaeden: call me before we go

wyatt: i will

Finn read the texts between Jaeden and Wyatt and sighed. "Well at least we possibly can take her with us without forcing", Wyatt said. Finn nodded and went to knock on Joe's bedroom. He opened the door and saw his uncle reading a book on his bed.

"Hey Finn. You need something?" he asked kindly. Finn nodded and sat next to him.
"The girl that I love... she's in trouble, it's not her fault and she is in pain and I have to help her. And to help her I need you."
"Okay. How can I help then?"
"I was thinking if you could take me, her, Wyatt and Jaeden to another city early tomorrow? She isn't safe here and I have no idea where to go, but basically every other city is okay." Joe stayed silent after that, thinking if he should say yes or no. He thought about it for a minute before he answered.

"I really should say no but, I know I have to help you guys."
"Yes! Thank you so much!" Finn cheered and hugged Joe. He ran out of the room to tell Wyatt the good news.

Jaeden had managed to talk Millie over, not by making her think that Chris was a bad man, but he had told her that he is going to Derry with Wyatt and Finn really hoped Millie would come too. She was mad at Finn, but Jaeden said he needed her. So she had started packing and writing a note to Noah, telling she was at Derry for maybe a week and that she was coming back.

She was done packing, but she felt like she still needed something. She walked to her collection of movies and saw her favourite. She took it and whispered to herself, "Avengers... haven't watched this movie since..." She realized the last time she saw it was with her dad, before he left. She put it in her bag, she felt like she had to take some memory of him with her, just in case she needs him.

She threw the bag next to her door and got under the covers. She felt happier now about the trip to Derry. She had this feeling, it was strange, but she truly felt that maybe it was possible that she could finally find him. Maybe he was living in Derry, waiting for her. She fell asleep with a smile on her face and her whole body filled with hope.
