It was a winter day, about mid evening, the sun slowly setting over the horizon. Snowflakes blew around the city and layered it with a soft blanket. A lone figure stood on the other side of a bridge railing. His skin was a pale blue, his hair the color of the sun. His bright blue eyes shined with tears as they creeped down his cheeks, freezing on to them. As his fingers slowly slipped from the railing, a voice cried out,

“Elio!” He froze, his eyes wide as he looked over his shoulder at the silver haired male, “Badar.” He whispered, his voice being carried away with the wind.

The figure or Badar stopped just a few feet from Elio, tears rolling down his dark cheeks, “Please...please come from over there. You don’t need to do this.”

Elio turned on the railing, his back now to the water that rolled below them. His eyes were soft as he met the other’s midnight blue ones,

“But I do...I don’t deserve to live in this world. I deserve to d- LIVE! YOU DESERVE TO LIVE!” He was cut off by the other’s screams.

It shocked the blonde into silence. Badar was shaking violently, both from the cold and from fear,

“You have so much to live for, Elio. You have Astra...you have me.” His voice broke with emotion as his legs threaten to give out.

He was so scared. A sad smile curved onto Elio’s lips,

“Take care of my baby girl for me. She loves you.” He made no comment on the end of what Badar said.

This only caused more tears to fall,

    “I love you.”

The world seem to freeze with the as the snow fell gently on the ground. Elio’s lips parted slightly, an inaudible gasp passing. The silver haired male smile softly,

“I love you so much, Elio.”

Elio blinked away the tears before squeezing his eyes shut,

“Why?” Was the only thing he whispered.

His heart was shattering in his chest as he waited for the other’s words,

“Your hair is the shade of the sun. Your smile just as bright. Your eyes are blue like the sky and suck me in; they are never ending. Your laugh is like a choir of angels singing. You’re so outgoing and happy. You protect and love Astra with everything that you are. You- need to stop.”

Elio finished Badar’s sentence, his voice like ice,

“You swore you would never lie to me.” His voice was soft as he refused to look at the other’s broken expression,

“But, I’m not!” He stammered over his words. Badar was confused. He just confessed his love. Elio’s eyes snapped open, dancing with rage,

“Yes, you are! If you loved me...you would’ve seen how tired I was. The bags under my eyes. Or the mask I hide behind everyday just so you both would be happy. You would’ve seen the tear stains on my cheeks. You would’ve seen me.”

He broke down, sobs shaking his entire body. Badar wanted to hug the other, but he was scared that if he moved, Elio would let go,

“I’m sorry! I didn’t w- stop. Just stop already.”

Elio cut him off once again,

“I hate you.”

The words turned Badar’s blood to ice,

“I hate you so much.”

He lied,

“I wish I never met you.”

Elio felt his heart break as he saw the other’s heart shatter,

Elio...please come here.”

Badar took a step forward. Elio removed a hand from the railing,

“Please.” He begged.

Elio smiled softly,

“I’m sorry.”

With that, his hand slipped from the railing, his body falling back. Badar’s scream echoed as he raced forward, desperate to save Elio. He was too late. The silver haired male stared in shock as he watched the person he loved plummet into the raging waters below. Words fell off of Badar’s lips as he stared at the dark abyss,

“The moon without their sun is nothing. They do not shine. They do not change. Forever they will be dark. So, I will bury my love in the moondust and move on, forever in darkness.” A single tear fell from his cheek, falling to the abyss that took the one person he loved,

“I love you, Elio...my one and only sun.”
