Abhi knocked on the half opened door of his sister's room and whistled , then called out.
"Aali, aali , you in there ?"
Initially Aliya didn't recognize. But later a wave of happiness hits her as she heard her nickname from her brother's mouth. Something in her bounced with joy , she wanted to hug him and tell him; how much she missed him and how much she missed them. She composed her self but was unable to hide the stupid grin that made it's way as she replied.
"Yes bhae ( brother) "

For a moment, Abhi didn't saw Aliya Mehra but her baby sister looking up at him waiting that he would pick her up .
The brother in him wanted to squeeze her.
But the father in him yelled
"She is the reason I can't see my daughter ,today.
Don't spoil my plan."
& he listened to it.

"What's my schedule today ?"
enquired Abhi in his usual tone, not paying any heed to her changed behavior.

She looked up her phone and shook her head.
"Nothing, you are free today"

"Great, that means I can meet my friends "
said Abhi excitedly and chatted on .
" this Rocky, he hasn't met me properly ,do you know why?"

Aliya eyed him suspiciously thinking.
"He is not behaving himself today ,what's up with him . he has not had a decent conversation with me since forever,and today all of a sudden..."

When another voice in her said.
"Isn't it what we want , we have got it . brother has come back"

Abhi snapped his fingers in front of an absent Aliya and asked with a wink.
"Still on planet Earth, Aali ?"
Why is Rocky mad with me? ,you know,"

Aliya retorted.
"You scolded him because of Pragya,"

"Then he deserves an apology, because Pragya's chapter is closed, done and dusted."
He said clapping his hands together as in dusting them.

"Wait ,so you have finally given up on her , you are moving on."
Aliya stammered in utter disbelief.
