Sealand sat outside the world conference room, looking determined and annoyed. "This always happens," he huffed, "They never let me inside and they all look down at me! I will be a nation one day and then they'll all look up to 'me'!" Sealand laughed and sucked on his lolly happily. He had been sitting there for a while, wondering what it took to become a nation. There was only one person who would listen to his hopes and dreams. Latvia.
Seland would admit that Latvia wasn't the strongest or the biggest nation, but he was nice and willing to listen to him. Their friendship had grown to the point where Sealand's heard would beat really fast whenever Latvia was around. He asked England about it, the heart beating fast but not mentioning that it happened when Latvia was around, and England told him that it was love. The thought of being in love with a boy confused Sealand terribly, but he couldn't help it. Latvia was the only person he's ever had listen to him and talk to him without scolding him.
Suddenly, the conference door opened and Latvia stepped out. Sealand smiles happily and glomped Latvia. "Latvia~!" exclaimed the smaller boy, "I missed you!!~" Latvia smiled shyly and hugged him back. "H-hello Sealand," Latvia said with a chuckle, "Ready to go to the park?" Sealand smiled and nodded his head. "When we get there, I have something to tell you, okay?" he said. Latvia raised an eyebrow and smiled as Sealand took his hand and dragged him to the playground.
When they arrived at the park, Sealand led the blonde to the swing set and sat in a swing next to him. After a moment, Sealand started.
"Latvia, we aren't that different in physical age, are we??" Latvia thought for a moment and nodded, saying, "Well I'm fifteen and you're twelve right? That's only three years." Sealand nodded and blushed. "W-well I was wondering... Would it be weird... If we...erm... W-well, would it be weird if-" Sealand was interrupted when Lichtenstein hugged Latvia from behind, giggling cutely. "Latvia~!" she said happily, "It's so good to see you!~"
Under normal circumstances, Sealand would have greeted Lichtenstein happily, but now, she interrupted something important. He felt his eyes filling with tears and he stood up, running away and yelling, "Never mind! I don't care anymore!!!"
Sealand his behind some shrubs and cried, feeling like the small and insignificant nation he was. All he wanted was for Latvia to care about him and notice him as a nation, but he knew that Latvia could never do that. There was always Lichtenstein and she was obviously in love with him too. Besides, Latvia probabily liked girls, not boys like Sealand. He cried softly to himself and whimpered. Suddenly, he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned to find himself face to face with Latvia. Sealand cried harder and hugged Latvia tighter, pouring his small, fragile heart out to the Nation. He told Latvia his hopes and how he loved him and how he only wanted to be loved.
When he finished, Latvia was wide eyed and surprised. Sealand sniffled. "Y-you think I'm weird now, don't you!" Sealand cried, but Latvia shook his head. "N-no!!! Not at all! I-I like you too..." Latvia said softly. Sealand wiped his eyes and looked at Latvia shyly. "Really?" he asked and Latvia smiled. "Really~"
Sealand giggled and hugged Latvia tightly. And with that, the two boys went back to the park.
