Chapter 3: FTE; Hayato and Hikari

I knock on Hayato's door as I zip up my purple jacket. Hayato opens the door, same annoyed and even miserable expression.

"Can I help you?" he asks.

"Yeah, I wanted to see how you were doing." I reply. He sighs and opens the door more.

I walk in, seeing Hikari spinning his scissors.

"Oh, Hey Hikari why are you here?" I ask him.

"That's a really good question," Hikari says, stopping his scissor spinning.

"Eh, I just wanted to talk about crap..." Hayato replies, sitting down on a table.

I lean on the wall, looking at Hikari. "Since we're here, why do you flirt Hikari?" I ask him.

"Eh, my parents forced me to be like a 'people pleaser' or some crap like that, it was actually my original Ultimate talent till I moved in with my older cousin. It's kinda become a habit." he explains.

I nod, Hayato squints.

"I still don't know why we're so calm, especially since we're in a killing game." he says.

"Well, you don't know if either one of us are gonna die, make the most of life. Sneak a beer, watch tv, eat some chili fries, etc." Hikari replies to Hayato.

"Aren't we underaged?" I ask.

"Setting an example."

"Uh huh..." Hayato rolls his eyes.

"Aaaanyways, I gotta head back to my lab. I'll see you boys later. Or not, who knows." Hikari says, heading out or the lab.

"I'm sorry I want to bring this up... But are you still sad about Sora?" I ask. Hayato looks up, like he's holding back tears. 

Bad move bad move bad move GOSH DANGIT MASAKI-

"I'm sorry Hayato-" he interrupts me.

"It's fine. I'm still sad, yes. She was so great. I honestly don't know what I'll do now."

"Live on for her! She'd want you to survive, Hayato!" I say, placing my hands on his shoulders.

"Heh, I guess you're right. I'll try," He gives his trademark smile, thaaat's the Hayato that would shout 'Hieeeeee' at you. That's the one I know and love.

Once I leave from Hayato's lab. I...

I don't know who to go to now...
