Tsukishima's pov~
"What was it you were saying Tsukki?" Yamaguchi asks while slinging his backpack on his shoulder.
"Not-" Tsukishima was about to answer when,
"What did Shiruko say to you?" Kageyama storms to me. I smirk.
"Ah King, why do you want to know?" I say teasingly.
"Tch, whatever." He retaliates.
"Have a goodnight King!" I saw waving.
"Don't call me that." I hear him scowl.
Yamaguchi and I walk home in silence, music music blasting through my ears. We reach his house and we say goodbye. Practice ended pretty early today so I'll be able to have dinner served right from the stove rather than the microwave.
"I'm home." I say as I walk in and talk off my shoes.
"Honey, you're home early! Oh, just in time, diner is ready. Come sit." Mom was putting the last plate on the table.
As we were eating, mother speaks, "You know we have a new neighbor right beside us, I made them cookies and Kei I want you to bring it to them okay? I got the dishes tonight."
"But mo-"
"No buts! It's just a quick stop by, after all your practice got off early, your homework will be done in no time." She says putting a ball of rice in her mouth smiling.
"Fine..."
-
"Here Kei." Mom gives me the cookies. I sigh but don't complain, knowing I'll probably get a slap on the head. I walk to the door and slip on some shoes. Walking the street was nice, having the cold breeze in your face is nice. I finally reach the door and knock. Then, barking.
"Hey, hey! Stop! Upo!" a muffled voice says behind the door.
Silence.
"Good girls! You're staring to understand!" I hear them- her, by the sound of the voice, walk to the door.
"Hi-" I see standing in front of me, Shiruko Kanaro.
We're both silent for a little bit until....
Shiruko pov~
Tsukishima Kei standing in front of me with a plate stacked with cookies.
"Hi- Taidana, Chamu, Gankona! Stop it!"
How embarrassing, my children- I mean dogs just pounced on him!
"Ah! Gomen, gomen!" I pull the dogs off of him and start to help him up.
"So this is where you live, right beside me. Stalker." He teases. Asshole.
"Why are you here Tsukishima Kei?" I ask crossing my arms.
"My mother wanted you to have these cookies as a welcome to the neighborhood." He shoves the cookies in my hands and pushes me out pf the way and enters my house.
"Hey- oh yeah come on in why don't you?" I say irritated. I close the door and place the cookies on the counter.
"Why thank you." I look back to find the beanpole holding his hand out for the dogs to sniff. Instantly, they all pounce on him once again and lick him to the point his glasses almost come off. Then, the most unusual, yet satisfying sound erupts from his throat.
"Hahaha! Stop! Alright, alright!" He erupts in laughter.
A sight I never thought I'd ever see, Tsukishima Kei laughing. I was stunned. I stare at him as he plays more with the dogs.
"What's her name?" He points at one of them and adjust his glasses but I don't notice as I keep staring. "Hello??" I snap out of it. Pushing up my glasses, I try to hide the blush coming onto my cheeks.
"T-taidana. " I quickly say looking away.
"And this one?" He continues.
"Chamu. The last one is Gankona."
"Lazy, Charm and Stubborn?" He questions.
"That's their personalities." I say taking off the clear wrap on the cookies, hiding my face in my hair.
"I saw you staring, I don't blame you, I am good looking." I can already see him smirk.
"S-shut up, I just never seen you laugh that genuinely.." I sigh and take a bite of the cookie. "This is really good..."
"What are you doing now?" He asks still playing with the dogs.
"Homework mostly." I say gobbling my second cookie.
"Nerd."
"Asshole"
"Try hard"
"Beanpole"
"Shortie"
"Cocky-"
RingRing!
My phone rings and I pick it up.
"Moshi moshi?"
"Shiruko! How's it going?"
"Kuroo!"
